Rivals Updates the LSR 100
Darius White takes over the pole position, followed by Jeffcoat, Seastrunk, Reggie Wilson, and Taylor Bible.
Unsurprisingly, a few Longhorn commits shot up: Tevin Jackson moved from 65 to 8, Chris Jones from NR to 12, Bryant Jackson from 50 to 13, Ashton Dorsey from NR to 23, Adrian Phillips from 81 to 24, and Greg Daniels from NR to 37.
There's a lot of variance in these rankings, so take them for what you will. I'll let GoBR handle the rest of the heavy lifting.

Every Texas verbal is listed in the LSR 100. The only two below 50 are John Harris at 52 and Ross Apo at 97.
Wonder what happened with Harris and Apo
in Ketchum’s analysis of their skills.

I guesss it's safe to say..
Texas’ recruiting efforts have some influence on that list.
"Football's so important in Texas. On the West Coast, it's a social. On the East Coast, it's a culture. Here, it's a religion."

Yup....
…..year after year. It definitely calls into question their judgement and objectivity. Their rankings have become the least credible.
Mack does an excellent job of recruiting and he doesn’t need a service to stack the rankings for him.
--- All roads to the Big-XII Championship lead through OU/RRS. It's not just another game! We're all about championships here. ---
Thanks for the LSR update
I’ve thought for several years . . . and this pretty well confirms it — committing to UT either validates a high (or fairly high) spot on the LSR list, or jumps the player from obscurity to a spot way up the list. This happened with Mimms and Howell last year and is in evidence now with Daniels, Phillips, Dorsey and (notably) with Jackson and Jones.
I think good for Texas fans
bad for everyone else. Kid can lay the wood.

He looks like a beast.

Talking about beasts
The old saying “If you can’t run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.” seems to apply here. In this case, there is only one big dog, and the rest of the puppies seem to be staying on the porch where they belong.
A quick analysis of the LSR 100 produces the following:
Of the top fifteen prospects, seven have committed. Of those seven, seven have committed to UT, leaving (let’s see now, let me get my calculator, seven minus seven equals…) zero that have committed to OU or any other program. Of the top fifty, twenty-one have committed. Of those, seventeen are UT commits, one to LSU, two to the land thieves, and one to A&M. The Aggies have to be so proud. They are on a par with LSU for top recruits from Texas!
While some may take issue with the rankings, the message seems clear. The little dogs, including Medium-Game-Bob, can only get off the porch after the Big Dog has left the neighborhood.
To mix metaphors, do you think it’s a coincidence that the truck manufacturer that uses a big dog as its emblem is Mack?
