Baseball Loses Game Two 7-1, Game Three -- 3 PM

Both Stanford and Texas were due for this game. Brandon Workman was very solid, but his command was just off, leading to a 7-1 Stanford victory and snapping the Horns' win streak at 11. The game was far closer than the final score would indicate, and the appearance of Jordan Etier, Preston Clark and Russell Moldenhauer in the starting lineup for the first time all season are all positives to take away from this one.

As we said in the preview, taking just one game of the series was an acceptable outcome, but two of three would be fantastic and say a lot about this team's ability to fight back.

It'll likely be Cole Green on the mound against Max Fearnow (starter in the two previous Sunday's for the Tree). Despite his name, Fearnow has been pretty poor to start the season (0-2, 10.57 ERA), whereas Cole Green has been lights out despite getting only one run of support during his two starts.

Game starts at 3 PM Central.

Illini

8-2 on the year now, might have a pretty good squad.

Aggy lost game 2 to Utah, but is up 5-2 in game 3. They’ve now been shut out twice on the young season. Looking like UNC will go 2-1 this weekend as well. If we win this game we’ve got a pretty good shot at being #1 in Baseball American come Monday.

Loy doesn't get the bunt down

Bunting quality has been way down the last few games…Loy lines out to 2nd, Etier doubled off first

So...I understand this is a college baseball team broadcast...

But these camera angles and announcers are horrible.

“Boom! Goes the Dynamite!” college guy is calling this game now.
