A. White Set To Announce ($)

DeSoto cornerback Adrian White will end his recruitment on Friday afternoon at 4 on Austin's ESPN 1530-AM, according to his father. The schools remaining on his list are Texas, Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, and Florida. White is training hard in the offseason on his speed and technique with former Cowboys Super Bowl MVP Larry Brown and gold-medal winning sprinter Jon Drummond, attempting to aid his early transition to college as a future early enrollee.

If he’s announcing on an Austin station, rather than a DFW-area station…well, mightn’t that mean something?

I think it's a good sign,

but the reason that he’s announcing in Austin is because he’s going to be in Austin with the DeSoto basketball team (which, incidentally, includes Darius Terrell and Evan Washington) playing in the Erwin Center for the state semis on Friday. Just kinda worked out that it ended up being in Austin. For him to go anywhere other than Texas is probably an upset.
