Baseball Travels to Lincoln
[Update 4:56 PM]: Horns take game one 7-5 in a game that wasn't as close as the final score would indicate, until Nebraska threatened in the 9th. Game two start time should be around 6:05 and is allegedly on TV.
Texas travels to Lincoln to take on a struggling Nebraska squad. Texas has had surprisingly good luck on the road in Lincoln the last two visits (4-2) against some really good Nebraska teams, including a 16-inning loss in 2005. Ironically, Nebraska has had a lot of success in Austin the last two visits (4-2). Taking two of three this weekend would be huge as the Horns close with 16 of their last 19 in Austin. Some notes:
- Cole Green is probably your undisputed Sunday starter. With only four more Sundays left in the regular season, we doubt Augie is going to mess with the rotation. Whether Green or Jungmann gets the third postseason start, if there is one, is another story.
- Texas has lost three straight Saturday starts and won just one Saturday start since Penn State. Meanwhile, despite Green's struggles, Texas has lost just one Sunday start.
- Texas' six runs on Tuesday gives the Horns 6+ runs in five of the last eight games (5-0 scoring 6+, 1-2 below 6) after going 10 straight games without scoring 6 runs.

Double double-header?
Given the weather forecasts you put up, it appears that Texas is facing two double-headers?
Is there any other way to follow the game besides the Husker Live Feed
I cannot get it up at work

Is there some gamecast or something elsewhere
I just cannot get the video to work

the video worked for me...
I clicked on the link, and then I selected the link for “play now” or something, rather than the “sign up” one. I don’t know if that helps.
The video doesn't work, but there is semi-nice play-by-play on the side
looks like something from the early 90s tho

Moldenhauer struck out swinging (1-2 KKFFBS).
Shepherd, T. homered to right field, RBI (3-2 BKKBB).
Keyes, K. walked (3-1 FBBBB).
Rupp, C. homered to right field, 2 RBI (3-1 BBS); Keyes, K. scored.
Loy, B. reached on a fielding error by 3b (1-1 KB).
Rowe, C. grounded into double play 2b to ss to 1b (0-0); Loy, B. out on the play.
3 runs, 2 hits, 1 error, 0 LOB
Great diving play by Shepherd to retire the side.
Moving right on a well-hit ball, had to leave his feet, not quite full extension, but a very nice play, nonetheless.

Torres really drove that one, no luck
Looked like a long out at the Disch.

Anybody else a Rangers fan?
They’re getting beat by a nifty 14 – 1. I’ll trade that for a nice day by the Horns any day, though.
No problem with Rangers fans,
as long as you want to subject yourself to that, go right ahead. :)

That stadium just eats pitchers alive
with that rock-hard infield and balls flying out of there every which way. Almost as bad as Coors Field in some ways.

Nice play by the first baseman on a chopper,
Longhorns go down in the top of the third, still 3-0 Texas.

What was that?
Shepherd picked off easily, didn’t even make it back to the bag.

Wow Keyes with a rip for a triple
ball thrown into dugout, error and Keyes scores. 4-0 Texas.

Nice play by Loy on a long throw to end the inning.
That could have been worse but that double play was HUGE.

Is this going to be the usual doubleheader format...
with the second game coming 30 minutes after the first?
Wow...
One reached on an error, then hit by pitch, then a single plus another error makes it 5-4. And we have 3 errors.
Are they playing a full nine innings
in the first game or is the game shortened due to the double header?
Ok thanks.
Also, thanks for the updates. Its nice to be able to keep up with the game and watch a weeks worth of DVR episodes at the same time.
