Jackson Jeffcoat A Sooner??? Lache Seastrunk News
One of the Sooner Boards has Jackson as a Commit.
In case it disappears:
Jeffcoat committed today. This will be news. Gave silent to our coach stoops. We are cousins btw.
This from a "Hall of Fame Poster" on that Board. More on this later (after jump???), Now lets Talk recruiting.
Demarco???
Polo...
Demarco???
Polo...
It appears that the dance between UT and Cobbs may be over. The staff wanted him to visit this spring, however no Cobbs. I think this one is all but done. Let's hope I am wrong and he squeezes in a visit.
Trovon Reed
Chirp....Chirp...Chirp. (crickets)
Thats what Reed is hearing from the Texas coaches lately. The question is what does this mean for Lache's recruitment??? Lache again said this weekend he wants to play with Reed in College.More on Lache in a few.
Jackson Jeffcoat
Jackson Jeffcoat and members of his fam, minus his mother, visited OU this last weekend. No news...Other than that erstwhile OU poster who later renegged. This one is looking better and better for Texas. We very may well see Jeffcoat with horns on.
Corey Nelson
There is a ton out on Nelson, but it is not definitive. It looks like OU and Texas are the two leaders with Texas having a slight lead. Muschamp may be overseeing this recruitment personally. I feel confident about this one.
Jordan Hicks
The staff wants him to visit, but the distance makes it difficult. Rumor has it that Muschamp has been to a few of his BBall games this winter. Muschamp may be personally overseeing this recruitment too. I am solidly on the fence for Hicks.
Darius White
He has visited Texas quite abit this spring and things are looking sweet for the good guys. It seems like he may just want to be sure that he has looked at all the possibilities before he commits.
Jake Matthews
Its between us and aTm, the advantage to them, only because he has family there.
Lache Seastrunk
He has visited twice within the last month, which can only be positive for us. However he visited Auburn this weekend with Reed. In his interview he said he really enjoyed Auburn and could see himself playing there. Lache's pastor is also a family member of one of the Auburn staff. Again, Lache mentioned playing with Reed in college. I am starting to feel alittle better about getting Lache. I am less concerned than I was about his being "locker room cancer." His recent interviews have been few and far between but he has been extremely professional in them. I think his questionable interviews may have just been inexperience. I do think he is an exceptional talent and, if I am wrong about my initial impressions, could be one of the best to ever wear Burnt Orange.
Torrea Peterson
I have never heard anything from this guy. I think it was a fling.
I think we close out with Nelson, Hicks, White, Jeffcoat and Seastrunk. (Hopefully)
Off Topic,
I am looking to come to a game this fall. My wife use to play volleyball at UT but I am pondering the Red River Shootout. Does she still have priority?? Should I just look online at the appropriate time??? The ticket offices website sucks. Its a big mystery, any suggestions??? Also contemplating the Tech game.

If you read the thread, the very guy who started said he was wrong with his info. Jeffcoat still up for grabs.
Yeah I kinda said that

Apparently
If you read the last poll answer, others are with you.
I voted..
..but it would’ve been better had there been different options. I don’t think we get Hicks,Matthews, or Seastrunk

I would say
White is a lock and then we only get one of the others with Hicks or Nelson being the most likely candidates.
With 20+ locked up for 2010
the coaches have the time right? Florida has like 10 commits, OU…. 6. That means these guys are still chasing 20+ possibilities out there trying to woo them.
We have 8 or fewer depending on decisions that only the staff know about. That has to be to our advantage.
If we get White, and Lache – offensive class would be amazing.
If we get 2 of 3 among Jeffcoat, Hicks, Nelson – Defensive class would be amazing.
Still think we are top 5 (whatever that means) right now.

P.S. 45-35
florida has something like 80+ scholarship offers out.

from longhorny's wife
this is longhorny’s wife. i have to say that you people seriously need to get a life. you are way too involved in the inner-workings of texas football for people that are not actually on their staff. try paying as much attention to the people around you as you do to these dumb posts.

Hi “longhorn’s wife.” Did you happen to notice the post by the fellow to whom you’re married, and the irony that therefore accompanies your post?

This marks a great moment in BON history
Thank you, Mrs. L. You join Mrs. Atchley in the familial anti-BON Hall of Fame.

Just like a woman.
Sticking her nose in to someone else business.
Hey, watch it, buddy.
Some of us on here ARE women … and would not begrudge our men making a hobby out of keeping their blood runnin’ orange. Just sayin’.
Now online gaming, tacky web sites (you know what I mean, boys), and chat with girls that have names like Buffy, Sunset and Mistee … that’s different.
In my house, however, Horns sites are never out of bounds. I’d like it if my hubby brought me some news for a change, instead of me serving as our in-house Longhorn reporter. But that’s just me … I also named my firstborn after the City of Horns.
Watch out, I bite.

I also named my firstborn after the City of Horns.
That’s actually a great idea. We’re due to have our second in June, so I may broach this possibility with the weef.

Well you are a good woman and should be rewarded by your husband for your efforts.
By the way both of my girls are named after Mack Brown. Macklenzie and Macklayne
i voted the last one, not because i thought you were clueless (though overly and foolishly optimistic). but because none of the other answers were a better choice.

I'm not your type
hahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Shenanigans aside
I think you will eat those words come January or maybe even Owgust.
owgust? hehe.
i will eat my entire laptop i posted those words from if we finish our class with 5 5* commits, especially since the scholarship numbers don’t seem to allow for that (unless we lose commitments).
and honestly, i hope i do. all those would be fantastic commits. here’s to me being wrong.

I might eat it if we would lose the MNC if I didn't.
But as long as we’ve got a chance, I’m not eating any computers.
