Seastrunk falls in love with Auburn ($)
Not quite bad news, but not encouraging. This seems old news, but over the weekend, Seastrunk made another visit to Auburn. According to Orangebloods($), Seastrunk had a grand ole' time getting to know Chizik and the campus. Granted, the article is a product of an AuburnSports.com beat writer, so there is a slight slant. However, Seastrunk sung a lot of praise for both Chizik and Auburn, saying it was the best trip he ever had.
Personally, this worries me. We know Seastrunk already has ties to Auburn, but after the number of visits he has made to Austin I figured that he was practically a lock. It appears we have underestimated the recruiting savvy of Coach Chizik. Sounds like he picked up a thing or two from Mack during his time at Texas.
Seastrunk also discussed his perception of the Auburn staff's intent on developing the person as opposed to only the athlete. This is something that Mack also hits pretty hard on during recruting, but Seastrunk seemed thoroughly impressed.
Also, did I mention he wants to win the Heisman as a freshman? No matter where he ends up, let the Seastrunk v. Gilbert debate commence.

heisman as a freshman???
i think this guy may be a Perilloser
Ian Johnson gets on one knee.
Sam Bradford gets on both.
Because he has goals?
I’d rather have my freshman want to win the Heisman than have them aspire to redshirt.
im happy he has goals
but it was perrilloux who predicted “4 heismans”. that kind of ego is never good
Ian Johnson gets on one knee.
Sam Bradford gets on both.
until they actually win 4 heismans in a row, then you’ll be eating your words.

If he weren’t so gosh-darn humble, Tim Tebow would leave Florida with four Heismans. He’s the bestest.

He's a kid
Auburn is new to him. It’s shiny (like the trophy). The girls are generally hot and have accents. AU has good traditions and a great history at running back. I don’t blame him for a minute to go there and enjoy the place. If he’d be happiest in a small town or as a big fish in a small, talent shallow pond of a football team it would be a great place for him. And like all kids, he should go where he’ll be happy.
But, with or without him, AU is going to be lucky to be the sixth best team in the SEC in any given year under Chizik. He’ll deserve a stiff arm if they even sniff the SEC championship game.
Frankly, I just want him to commit so he can drop out of the news.
proud to swim home
Be prepared for a long, drawn out news stream
He’s probably not going to make a decision anytime soon, and has even mentioned waiting until signing day. Fortunately, we will likely have no need (judging by the number of commits we already have) to suffer through the media frenzy of National Signing Day.

Everyone realizes that it's more than nine months before signing day, right?

Read this on OB too... but
it does seem that Lache wants Auburn more than UT lately… although most is just speculation, as Seastrunk doesnt do many interviews to begin with
Here at UT, he has to compete with Whaley and Shead for playing time (both very good, but not amazing, high school running backs). At Auburn, he can basically start for sure as a true freshman or sophmore, no doubt (no way Chizik is gonna redshirt this guy if he reels him in).
Just my 2 cents

Auburn isn’t set too badly for running backs, though. I sure do hope Whaley and Shead turn out to be a lot better than Aycock and the other new Auburn backs, but Seastrunk is going to face some talented competition either way.

Whaley and Shead
I thought these guys ere amazing high school running backs. I read that Whaley reminds people of Earl Cambell and E. Dickerson.
I wouldn't say amazing,
some people question whether Whaley will even end up at running back and Shead comes from a very small high school, leaving questions about his level of competition, a question that arises about Whaley, as well.

They were amazing in their respective programs, sure. But as always, there’s no guarantee that Whaley, Shead, or Seastrunk will amount to more than a hill of beans at the collegiate level.
