UT #1 in Big 12, 5 in national attendance

I think it's pretty awesome that we have the largest crowd by far in the Big 12. There's a 13,000 person drop from us to number 2 OU(SUCKS). It would have been really nice if we could have squeezed 2k more seats into the stadium to hit the 100k mark.
Being in the middle of such a large crowd is an amazing experience. It's also a good recruiting tool.
It's a good time to be a Longhorn.

I think we are going to be over the 100k mark
with the new bleachers in the south Endzone.
I just wish our Crowd size actually made a difference.

The big games
The crowd at DKR is great during the big games. The Missouri game last year was GREAT.
It sounds crazy, i know...
but the crowd during the Rice game was over the top, of course that was the “epic defensive stand” game.

It would be great if...
the alumni would actually cheer and be loud. DKR isn’t loud enough, especially during day games, it’s always way to quiet for the amount of fans we have.
I was at the Oklahoma State game this year, and it was embarrassingly lacking in crowd noise and interest in the game for how big of a game it was.
I wish the students would show up on time and not leave early
And it would be nice if the northeast corner of the stadium wasn’t always empty.
day games
almost everywhere aren’t as loud as night games. The crowd doesn’t have enough alcohol in them yet!
dude the Mackovic era was a good time to to be a Longhorn
its never a bad time. ever.
Ian Johnson gets on one knee.
Sam Bradford gets on both.
Painful memories
There’s “good”, and then there’s “fun, exciting” etc.
If ever a time could be considered bad, it was during Mackovic’s years. Trust me. I was there. At every game. And it hurt.
So yes, good to be a Longhorn … but not any fun.
Watch out, I bite.

66-3 was the lowest point in my life...
but I knew it was the begining to the end of the Mackovic Era.
We're Texas...and you're NOT
I have to admit that I have never equated volume with excitement in my own behavior. When doing stupid Army stuff, I think it’s childish to respond with the loudest “hooah” or to “sound off” at the top of my lungs. But when it’s 4th and inches, and my favorite team’s on defense, I’m yelling with everything I can muster on the off-chance that I’ll end up being the shirker named Jojo. Hell, I do that even if I’m at home watching the game with just my toddler. I wish the crowd would do that too.

100K
Let’s all be glad that next year we join the club. Michigan, tOSU, Penn St and UT (no the other one). TEXAS will now join the club. Come the first UT home game it will be the largest crowd ever in the state of TX history to have 100K plus, until the Superbowl @ Jeryworld blows everything away. College football average attendance at UT will beat America’s Team average attendance by about 20K.
I don’t think there’s any way Jerryworld will break 100K in attendance for the 2011 Super Bowl. The maximum seating right now is 80K, and they’d have to go through all the roughed-in expansions by August 2010 (not going to happen) in order to have the capacity up for the Super Bowl.

Jerry's World
Will without a doubt be over 100k for the Super Bowl. Jerry is a man of image and he wants his Super Bowl to be the Biggest Most spectacular event in Super Bowl history so they will have a chance to get another. Jerry likes to be bigger and better than everyone else. 1ook+ no doubt!
Hell, while we're at it lets get 200k! No doubt!

Yeah, I remember back when one could actually count on a news outlet to report something other than sensationalized garbage. But then one particular cable news channel went into that sort of hackery, and the others chased the same path. They’re all worthless.

Jerry is a man of image??
Hmmm … image of a lech, a sleeze, someone who loves using taxpayer dollars for his own gain? Yup, a man of image.
Watch out, I bite.
