Big XII Baseball Tourney Day One
So begins the postseason. Texas takes on a Baylor squad that has lost 10 straight Big XII games. We'd love to see the Horns go 4-0 this week, but 1 or 2 wins ought to be enough to secure at least a mid-level national seed. For those that wanted to see KU or KSU again, you'll get to see both. The Horns will play today and tomorrow then get a day off. It's a pretty important start for Cole Green because it may be indicative his abilities as a game one starter next week.
Here's the schedule for today:
9:30 AM -- KU vs. KSU
12:30 PM -- Texas vs. Baylor
4:00 PM -- Missouri vs. Texas A&M
7:30 PM -- OU vs. Texas Tech
PROBABLE PITCHING MATCHUPS
Texas: RHP Cole Green (4-2, 2.85 ERA)
Baylor: RHP Logan Verrett (7-1, 4.50 ERA)

How did we get stuck in this pool?
It’s a conspiracy, I tell you. Kansas AND Kansas State? Wow. I hope we can win two games.
correct
"I don't ever miss free throws. I'm like 100-percent from the free throw line. I just don't think about missing and if you think about missing you're going to miss. I just take my time and know I'm going to make it and I do," McClellan said.
Looks like Dichary was terrible
hpb, walked 2 (including with bases loaded), single, double, strikeout
Completely unrelated
UT grad named one of six new ESA astronauts earlier today.
No Aggies. No Gooners. Just the best.
Two horrible at-bats to start the inning
Keyes looking like he was going to swing at anything until the called third strike. He and Rupp trying to get all the runs back themselves.

Soooooooo..
given the history of this teams lousy performances against the Kansas teams……are we still in the running for a top 8 seed if we don’t win one of these 3 games in the big 12 tourney?
down 13-7 to Baylor…..I’ve thrown in the towel on this one.
Convention wisdom seems to be top eight even with 0-3 week.
Time to get revenge on the state of Kansas.

Belt hits a 2 run homer, 13-9 Baylor

Bleeding has been stopped?
Yep
6-6 tie, but only one loss with 4 runs
Damn, this sucks!
I was following early and just checked back during the 7th innning. Funny that I said I’d take good pitching over good hitting….
I think this next game may show how much heart this team has....
I’m confident that they’ll bring it to whichever lame team we play from kansas
ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
