We Lost Dixon....womp womp ($)
Well, knew it was gonna be a great class for 2010. Still is a great class for us....just took a little bit of a hit with losing Ahmad Dixon.($) Well what can we do? Where do we go from here? Coach Boom have an ace under his sleeve? You think we find another diamond in the rough late in the recruiting process? (like we did last year with the kid out of Round Rock/Pluggerville)
Coach Briles talked him out of it....maybe Coach Boom can talk him back into it. (Wishful thinking) Wonder what was the deciding factor for him to decommit?
Best of luck to the kid....hope he wrecks havoc in the secondary except when GG brings the O to the field.

So... who gets his scholarship? Any ideas?
You don't see animals lifting weights and they are fucking strong... isometrics baby!
We're FOUR over the limit right now.

I say offer the Favors kid now..
so we get D. White
I say the kid probably shouldn’t have reiterated his commitment to UT just a few days ago. Also, considering how quickly he changed his mind, perhaps he ought to have considered just being “undecided” for a while?
It sucks to get dumped, but it’s time to get to work.

Doubt they offer anyone else
Would be nice to see Favors get and offer tho
"I don't ever miss free throws. I'm like 100-percent from the free throw line. I just don't think about missing and if you think about missing you're going to miss. I just take my time and know I'm going to make it and I do," McClellan said.
Not yet
But he’ll figure it out as a freshman or sophomore when he watches Griffin leave, Briles trade up, and and the Longhorns win the MNC.
Nobody....
…..pay Briles more than the $2Million Baylor is paying him.

I don't believe he.....
….will ever move away from his network of Texas HS coaches. That recruiting base is all that keeps him close. What does that leave for him? A&M? They can’t afford to fire Sherman for probably 5 years (HUGE buyout). TCU? I doubt it. Arkansas? Potential in 5+ years if Petrino moves up. Oklahoma State? Potential, but Gundy equals or improves every season. His last 2 losses to Texas were by a combined 7 points and this year’s game looks dicey.
In fact, I find his successor at Houston Kevin Sumlin to be a far superior coach. Sumlin will have more success and rise higher in the coaching ranks. He recognizes and draws quality coaching talent. He and his staff recruit very well. His Xs and Os abilities are far superior.

Briles is a climber
I sense a lot of Billy Gillispie in him in that regard. He thinks he’s good enough right now to coach a major BCS program, but for the time being, he’s content just to be competing against Texas and OU rather than Rice and SMU. Once the Baylor community admits to themselves that Robert Griffin is not the next Vince Young and that Jason Smith doesn’t mean every Baylor player has a chance to go 2nd in the draft, the novelty will wear off. Briles will have his fill of being 5th or 6th in the division. He’ll start shopping himself, and Baylor will go back to being Baylor. But for the next couple of years at least, it will be fun watching them give the Aggies all they can handle.
you cant be mad at the kid
you ever been to waco? Bunch of hotties and no one knows how to dance. A young black man has all the advantages in the world :)
