Baseball Takes on Missouri in Big XII Championship Game
[Update:] Horns win the Big XII, again. Texas used an 11 run 4th inning to pull ahead and held on despite some Austin Wood wildness in the 9th for a 12-7 win.
Missouri and A&M won yesterday so Texas will see Missouri in the championship game today at 1 PM on FSN. This game could be important for which seed Texas gets but is unlikely to affect whether the Horns host either a regional or super. That announcement will be made at 2:30 PM today, with the full seedings to be announced tomorrow at 11:30 AM. Thanks to 16.2 innings of beautiful starting over the last two days the Horns have a fresh bullpen, hopefully they can become the first team since Nebraska in 2005 to win the regular season and postseason Big XII titles.
PROBABLE PITCHING MATCHUPS
Texas: RHP Brandon Workman (3-3, 3.39 ERA)
Missouri: LHP Scooter Hicks (5-2, 3.70 ERA)

So if we win, do we get the national #1 seed?

Anyone know where I can find a stream of the game on the net?
I have exhausted most of my normally reliables
This is the Mizzou live stream. Couldnt find one that worked outta Austin. Radio=
I always had problems getting games in Little Rock
think they did that on purpose
Yea thats what the radio guys said.
They also mentioned that if the throw wasn’t cut off, it probably would have gone to right
The RF came up throwing
But he caught the SS in a weird position and he couldn’t get much on the relay. Just a strange play
That is weird
You would think #1 in strikeouts he is not patient at the plate, but #2 in walks contradicts it
I guess Augie can live with the lower BA
as long as his OBP stays high. But you would think it would catch with him eventually
Preston smoked a ball to deep left center
Wind killed it and the LF fell just before it landed. Ended up a warning track single because the runners had to hold up
You're one lucky dude! Do you think we'll have more Texas fans this time?
I went last time and was so annoyed with all the damn yankee “fans”….

Man the last time we were there it was the same way.
My cousin is a Yanks fan and Im rangers so we’ve been like the last 4 years in a row. Always more yanks fans
It's funny when the rangers are actually doin' well how many fans are attending the games..
Where you live?

This inning kinda defines our offense
HBP, single through the right side, BB, single, sac fly, balk, HBP
So do we get paired with TCU regional?

Damn 40! You're good.
He’ll probably be drafted a little higher than the 25th round that he was drafted in couple years ago…

Just got a single into right field this at bat

Good deal. Can't stand to be witness to another Ranger loss to the Yankees in person.
Also, I believe Colt is throwing out the first pitch. That should be good for the OU fans in attendance.
Single scores another one 12-3 Horns

Fly out limits the damage
… but that was a shaky inning for Dicharry, and it’s too soon for Wood. Who else we got?

I used to have to go to Aberdeen for training
made it to Camden Yards, but never caught a Nats game
Ha, yes Mr. Burgundy. You see earlier in the year when they forgot to sew on the O?
Their uniforms said NATINALS, haha

It's hard to take them seriously
Once they get Strasburg one would think they’d start to draw a little better
They were talking about what they might offer him
it is really going to set the bar high
I think it's just posturing by Boras
We’ll see though. It’s not really in Strasburg’s interest to go back to school for another year. He risks injury and can’t really improve his draft position, plus he’ll be a year older and still not in the majors
The way it sounds,
the Nationals would pay him just to get the arm and the fan draw. I think they mentioned like 25million signing bonus. Crazy numbers
He's a lot better option than Crowe, but
if he messes up his elbow, that may be it for his pitching days.

So will Green stay in to finish off the last 6 outs?

Ya
That’s why I’d hesitate. I think Chance Ruffin’s CG was the most important performance, rested the bullpen and gave them room to recover. Also Jungmann yesterday
Yea I think Ruffin's game was the most important,
but I would think the MOP voters go to more offense than pitching
Wood? Or let Green work his way out?

How are the teams divided up for regionals?
They draw names out the hat?
Ahh ok.
Is it like higher rank team plays lower ranked team
8 national seeds will be matched up with the other 8 teams
Not sure if the other 8 are ranked or are matched via geography
Two grand slams and a homer for the lead.
I had to chuckle
"There'll be no dog-piling"
Because this one wasn’t a clean ending? Like hell, we don’t dogpile until Omaha
Hook 'em!
Would like to get to Austin for the Regional, but will likely just walk over to Rice instead. Maybe make it to the Super!
We were in Austin 2 weeks ago.
Wife would kick my ass if I said drive 400 miles again this weekend
Maybe I should follow this team, a winner
rather than the Astros… FML.
