I did not even notice,
until I just watched the entire ninth inning again, that ESPN had already named the infield error and subsequent triple by ASU as the “Game Changing Play”. So if that is the case, then what would the home run by Rupp and subsequent walk-off by Rowe be labeled as? “The Holy Shit It’s a Long Bus Ride Back to Tempe”?
Announcers should never write off any team down by one run in the ninth inning. That’s the great thing about baseball. Things can turn so quickly.
