The game is now tied 4-4 and the comments are flowing deep and fast, so it's time to rewind and bring this baby home.
Workman is holding steady on the mound and LSU is close to having to dig into their tired bull pen.

Can’t think of a one. They haven’t shown any Texas VIPs, either. Wonder if any (Mack, Barnes, Cat, Clemens, etc.) might be there.

Why has our bullpen failed us against LSU
It’s so disappointing. We have the #1 pitching staff in the nation and they blow Game 1 and rewarded our batters for fighting back with an atrocious inning.
by TheElusiveShadow on Jun 24, 2009 8:40 PM CDT reply actions
They were the big batting team. Their power has failed them.
So, we just play baseball with what we have.
this will be one hell of a comeback
i think patrick jizzed himself four times that inning.
guys, he threw 170 pitches and ever since, he has not been the same. Dead Arm Syndrome
"Stats are for losers. I like winning games." - Will Muschamp
He also threw a few more pitches than one would normally expect of him just two days ago. If he throws that many, I wouldn’t have expected him to be ready for today. I thought Shin would be the guy.

Ruffin, Jungmann, and Workman
the only 3 guys who showed up this series on the pitching staff….everybody else has been useless.

You don’t get them winning 14-0. It’s always the adversity. If any team can do it, these Horns can.

Time for Augie to work his mojo.
He’s got to clean their emotional deck, settle down the pitcher, tell the D that the game is in their hands – no more runs – and get his batters to be effective.
Pissed it away in the last inning.
Time to stop spitting out candy and get real.
Can they come back? Of course. Is it at all likely to happen? Not really.

I find it overpriced. It should be priced more competively than Live Oak or Saint Arnold which
are better breweries overall

Plus, if you went to UT as an alcohol virgin (as I did), you learned to drink beer on Shiner. It was the keg of choice at every party. I worked on the Texan. We used to have daily budget meetings at the God-forsaken Hole in the Wall over pitchers of Shiner. So yes, my attachment is part emotional. But I still love the taste as well.

what weaknesses need to be addressed? When you have it down to an out, you must close it out.
50-16-1.
I suspect AS40 will put something up later.
Now for a 40-day break before we get damn serious about the Horns.
Lets keep this in perspective
Aggy was picked to win this NC at the beginning of the year. Every Longhorn fan needs to be DAMN proud of their baseball team from Austin. Our boys get to come home to Ausitn, Texas, and work on getting back to Omaha next year. And WE WILL BE BACK!
Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.
Heads up
Football, Basketball, and Baseball should all be better next year. Just a little over a month of nothingness until football talk can really begin.
What are you talking about?
We need to start talking football now!
"Stats are for losers, I like winning games."

Great season all
That it didn’t end in a championship shouldn’t detract from all this team accomplished.
Even if I met Brandon Loy in a dark alley, I’d give him a punch in the arm and buy him a beer.

Great Season Indeed
Despite coming one game short of the top, it was the most memorable run this decade by a Longhorn team. Very proud of these kids. They are champions in my book. One of the great things about being a Horn is that we are sure to return to Omaha every year. This team may well make another run next season with some of the talent that we will retain. Hook’em!
Jungman needs to win 15 games, and more than one Longhorn needs to be above .300.

Where was Mack?
I saw Roy WIlliams at a UNC game in this CWS, I saw Trent Johnson and Les Miles at our game 2 against LSU and then Miles went home and got his son and came back for the Championship Game.
At a Basketball school like UNC Williams is the lead dog and he came to show his support. At a football school the football coach is the lead dog. Where was ours?
Does Mack have an issue with Augie because of the drinking and driving thing or what?

Doubt that’s it. I think it has more to do with a combination of recruiting and a few other things. Isn’t his wife still going through some of the medical stuff?

That said, yes, I do believe there should’ve been more UT VIPs there. Of course it’s entirely possible that they were there, but weren’t shown on ESPN because there wasn’t time between shots of Les Miles twittering and Mahtook’s family.
