DKR SEATING? FOOD?
I will be attending the October 10th game vs Colorado. Currently I am shopping my ticket/seating options and need some help with best selection. I have only been to 2 games in Austin, once in '99 and Last year vs Baylor, what sections would you choose to sit, with a budget of 130.00 per ticket?
I am also a foodie, I love to eat. Can you recommend some restaurants for me visit during my time there? Chuy's, Bikinis, and Opal Devine's are where we ate the last time in town.

Food
$130 a ticket – you should be able to get any ticket in the house unless Colorado exceeds expecations, provided you don’t mind walking up day of and buying from scalpers. Look for older Horns desperate to unload a few tickets.
Food – Lambert’s, Moonshine, Hoovers, Juan in a Million or Hula Hut (Chuy’s off Lake Austin). Make a bbq pilgrimage to Lockhart (20 minutes south off the airport along 183). Visit Kreutz (no sauce, few sides, but worth it).
The other Raiderland
Lubbock…I am actually a student at TTU. Only school in the area that offers what my major is.
Thank you for your help. I love barbeque I’ll have to make that trip.

Transferred out of Baylor
But unless policy has changed, I don’t think it will matter. When I transferred (2002), they told me that no weight was given to the college/university for general admission purposes. GPA was the only factor. Of course, higher is better but a 4.0 won’t be a requirement.
That said, your milage may vary by school (i.e. schools which have a separate admissions process may be more selective).

Sounds like the school for me

El Caribe at Lamar & 2222.
Tiny place with excellent interior Mexican and strong margaritas. The carne guisada and milanesa laredo are amazing.
here you go
Food here.
If you don’t wanna scalp, StubHub honestly has been my best option online. eBay also has deals, but the other resell sites don’t match up to quantity/price that StubHub offers.
Your best bet for the $130 price range may be the new North End Zone; you can find tickets that are just 15-30 rows up. It’s actually a great atmosphere (like sitting in the 30-yd line student section), although your view is mitigated a bit. If you really just want to watch the game and aren’t there for the atmosphere, the upper deck has the best view…although it’s mighty quiet up there.
Try this place La Salsa
its a burrito place that may be a chain but the one i went to is nowhere near the stadium. Still great.
i feel like an idiot
Googled it, turns out its a national brand. They dont have it in Dallas. My bad.
For a more campus flavor
Trudy’s – fried avocado and mexican martinis, and Red River Cafe – anything.
Here here!
Some swirl margaritas, great salsa and incredible tacos.
Watch out, I bite.

Trudy's!
The complete Austin dining experience has to include a trip to Trudy’s and a Mexican Martini, IMHO.
