Tech's Harrell goes to CFL
Wonder what Leach will have to say about this?

Well played!
I was trying to find a connection from pirates to roughriders.
As much fun as I will have with this over the next 8 months
I do seriously feel for the guy. He is talented enough to get picked up by an NFL team, even if he would ride some pine. West Texas to Central Canada is going to be…an adjustment.

I think it is sad . . .
. . . and pisses me off a little bit, too. As much as I didn’t like him at TTech, I had to admire his skills. He struck me as a heck of a lot better QB than the scuzzbucket baggie that actually got DRAFTED BY THE COWBOYS. There ain’t no justice. McGee’s biggest claim to fame is that he took some wicked shots from Longhorns and not only got up but got up talkin trash like “hit me again, sucka!!!”. Sheesh I really didn’t like that guy. Between him and Martellus Bennett I can hardly stand to root for daBoys anymore.
Being up here in Dallas, this might be blasphemy
I cannot wait for the day that Orakpo drives McGee 3 feet into the ground, if that day ever happens.

Ordered my Dallas Washington tickets yesterday.
Hopefully Dallas will be up big in the fourth and Rak will get his shot at McGee. :)
My bro-in-law is a die hard Cowboys fan
I told him I was going to get the Orakpo jersey and he promised to never talk to me again.

I feel bad for Orakpo getting drafted by Washington...
Other than Al Davis, I think Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones are at the bottom of the ownership list. I keep waiting for Jones to have his Steinbrenner moment and realize that he needs to let someone with some football sense run the team rather than his sorry azz. Those early 90’s Cowboy teams seem like an eternity ago…
I thought Harrell was way, way too cocky.....
So, I have to admit a small part of me thought this was funny. But, then I realize that to be a good QB, you have to have confidence. Harrell was cocky, but he backed it up with incredible, incredible throwing accuracy and clutch play. That’s the difference between him and McGee. Harrell is a winner, a gamer.
I watch a lot of NFL, you can’t tell me that he isn’t worthy of a roster spot. Have you seen some of the QB’s in the league? The 49ers have 4 guys nobody has ever heard of. The Seahawks have Seneca Wallace as a backup (and every year when Hasselbeck goes down they fade into oblivion). With more teams turning to more of a spread passing game (Chiefs, Dolphins, Pats, Colts), you can’t tell me there isn’t a spot for Harrell to see if he can develop in a few years.
Well, wish him the best. I’m glad he’s off our schedule.
He's the unfortunate victim of Tech's reputation
Truth be told, many of the passers before him, such as Hodges and Simmons, weren’t suited for the NFL. Thus the NFL just looks at Harrell as a very narrow player and a product of a gimmicky system. I personally think Harrell was better than the other passers Leach has had, but that’s the way it goes, I guess.
To be fair, Harrell did reportedly do poorly in his workouts, so he didn’t help himself. However, I agree that it is a little surprising he didn’t get a roster spot at all; surely he’s worth trying to develop more than some other bad QB’s in the NFL.

May be for the best
Some damned good QBs (Doug Flutie, Warren Moon) started out in CFL. Curt Warner played Arena football. If Harrell can do the job, he’ll get his shot.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
