What ever happened to....... What are they up to now??
Looking for a football fix got me wondering about some of my favorite former Horns. What ever happened to these guys / what are they doing now??
James Brown - last I remember he was with the Wranglers (??)
Wane McGarity - since the Cowboys......??
Aaron Humphrey (had a motor - just think what he could have done under Muschamp)
Sloan Thomas (I've always thought he should have redshirted his first year - would have been a standout after Roy and BJ)
Hodges Mitchell

Ahmad Brooks does a radio show on the Zone in the morning now
Rod Babers seems to be on it quite a bit too. These guys are funny and well informed. By far the best local sports radio show Austin has had in my time here.
Anyway, good idea for a thread.
What happened to Matt Nordegren (VY’s backup who signed with Philadelphia)? Also, on the b-ball side, anybody know what happened to James Thomas and Jason Klotz?
i knew babers would be a good radio commenter....
ever since this comic appeared in the Daily Texan when I was in school
How about Chance Mock? or Brandon Mouton from the Final Four team?
Every time I feel down and depressed, I think of seven simple words by a true wise man, Matt Leinart: "I still think we're the better team" and I usually end up hurting myself by laughing so hard.

James Thomas
Did well in the d-league winning rookie of the year and got a few 10 day contracts with teams, but never settled on a roster, i beleive he was last on chicago. Then he played well in Europe for Climamio Bologna for a year in 2007, being the leagues second leading rebounder. After 2007 I cant find anything on him.
Klotz bounced around the d-league for a while before heading to Europe. Now he plays for a team in Holland

Smith went to A&M-Commerce
played some LB/DE for them, and did well.
Made All-Lone Star Conference and received some All-American consideration, I believe.
James Brown
was hired at the end of last year to the football staff at Lamar University in Beaumont, his hometown. Lamar discontinued its football program after the 1989 season but is bringing it back starting in 2010.
Wane McGarity
Looks like Wane is working for HEB….not sacking groceries though!
