Will Texas vs. Texas Tech be the gameday site?
Just wondering if it will be. I'm going down for the game, and was just curious what you guys thought.

The first 3 gamedays in order (my prediction)
1.Alabama vs VA tech
2.USC vs Ohio State
3.Texas vs Texas Tech
Oklahoma St. Vs. Georgia
Why not OSU vs. Georgia for the first week?
Much better than Bama v. Va Tech
agree
I have a feeling that OSU will choke again though under the national spot-light!

I don't think it's choking
It’s lack of talent
Easy trigger...
At the 3 offensive positions, they may be the best in the country…
Robinson
Hunter
Bryant
That is potentially 3 first round picks starting together. I wish the Horns had Hunter and Bryant.

I am missing what you mean with 3=22...

I believe what Vy means
is that they may have 3 talented players at the skill positions, but they still need 19 more to go along with them.
I suppose...
Not sure why it matters though. This seems to have sparked discussion, isn’t that what fanposts are for?
Plus, it’s a slow offseason.
This is just one of those things
that once the school year (and mostly football season) rolls around gets really frustrating. When there are 23 Fan Posts a day and three forths of them are like this it drives us crazy.
Fan Shots or comments to a larger post are designed for quick questions like this. Fan Posts are generally used to give larger amounts of information/opinions.
If you had written 100 words about the possibility of gameday coming and talked about the other games that day that they might have to pass on, that would have been a good read and made this a good post, instead of just an interesting question.

If Gameday comes to Austin then
It’s probably because there’s nothing else better out there. I don’t think Tech will be terrible, but they did lose a few players and they’re coming to Austin. Their best hope is if they catch us unprepared early in the season, but the early game arguably affects them more than it affects us, since they’re breaking in a new QB.

REVENGE
its a big story line for ESPN, and its a pretty big conference game for September. I’m not sure what other games are on this week, but I doubt there is anything with the same storylines.

The crowd that day in Austin will be ballistic
I haven’t wanted to put the hurt on a team so bad since this:
http://www.statesman.com/sports/content/sports/stories/longhorns/11/13texfoot.html
And I wouldn’t mind if the score was similar.
Wow.
10:13 left in the second quarter and we’re up 42-0.
Disgusting.

That game
Was arguably a larger dismantling than the famous Colorado thumping in the Big 12 championship game. 52-0 at the half? And the crowd was mad we kicked the field goal except score another TD to go up 56-0.

Considering this game was moved so ESPN would have something to be excited about. Chances are it’ll be the best game on.
One might even argue that we don’t know what teams will become surprises. Unfortunately, by this point in the season no one will.

Would we have been able to pick up Wiscosin this year if we hadn’t moved TTech to that weekend? I notice that is the weekend they play Wofford.

I am hoping the Potts gets at least 3 TDs out of our secondary
Wait, a pick-6 doesnt count towards a touchdown pass, does it?

It should be the gameday site
As mentioned many times before, they reshuffled the season to make it primetime, so Gameday should be there. If it’s not here, then I wasted 30 minutes of my life making my “REVENGE lives here” sign to hoist up at gameday.

Another possibility
Tennessee plays at Florida on the 19th also. With all the Lane Kiffen – Urban Meyer smack talk, it may be at the swamp.
Wow, that is a tossup
But with the SEC/ESPN love-fest, I would bet on Tenn vs Florida.

I imagine that if Gameday is in Austin that weekend
the crew will make every reference possible to the Flo-Tenn game
