Brown vs. Stoops
As I've been reading the preseason mags and websites, I've noticed that a lot of places have Stoops ahead of Brown as coaches. I know that Coach Brown has gone 3-1 vs. Stoops the last four years, but I think the 5 year losing streak in the early '00s still works in Stoops's favor. I know the conference champsionships OU has won vs. UT has won also plays a part as well. But with the team that Coach Brown has this year, what will it take for Brown to overcome the '00s debacle and thus finally pull ahead of Stoops?
a. beat OU on field.
b. win Big 12 South
c. win Big 12 title game
d. play in the national championship game
e. win the national championship
f. This can't be done in just one year.
In my humble opinion, it will take another national championship ring for Coach Brown to vault ahead of Stoops. Nothing less I think will work. Does anybody have any other ideas of what it might take?

Championship
We are going to have to win a Big 12 championship and a national championship along with the continued success against OU.
It won’t be a one year thing, but if we do that this year Brown will no doubt have an arguement. I think people are already starting to realize what a joke Stoops has become in recent years.

Agreed . . . MNC is needed
But frankly, who cares if Brown “is regarded” as the better coach. I’ll take BCS wins any time. (So, would Big 12 Bob, I’d guess.)
Very easy
It just takes you thinking Brown is better. Next issue?

The Ugly Truth
Mack would need to win the MNC to pass Stoops this year. The reality is that conference domination is defined by Conference titles. When you use that standard – Mack has been Stoops biotch.
I am sorry...
did I miss a national championship from last year? Are you sure FL won it? Sure they beat OU, but then again, so did UT.
Last year and the year that Auburn went undefeated in the SEC and was excluded stand out as two MASSIVELY DARK BLEMISHES on the BCS system.
And let us not forget Utah’s 13-0 last season capped off with a 31-17 shellacking of Alabama, who really did not want to be there…but pride is not taught…it is something you either have or you do not have. I do not think the Horns would have performed that way. So by my count, USC, FL, UT and Utah are still alive from last season. Period.

That bothered the sh*t out of me
Speaking of Alabama, so you lose your last game in the SEC conference championship and still get to go to a BCS bowl?!! What kind of horsesh*t is that? And still you mail in your performance and get beat down by a good but not great Utah team. But no one calls SEC overrated when #2 team gets blown out in undeserved BCS bowl

I think you are having a hard time keeping up with how conferences are judged...
Your conference only gets called out when your #3 team gets blown out in a non-BCS bowl.
