Colt is bullish on Brandon Collins | Bevo Beat
Encouraging quote from Colt McCoy about Brandon Collins. A lot of us are still worried about replacing the production of Quan Cosby, and Kirkendoll and Collins are the leading candidates to fill that role. If Colt can quickly develop half of the trust he had in Cosby with one of these two, it will go a long way towards keeping that completion percentage up, and giving us a chance to be as productive on offense as we were last year.

Nice
Huge compliment coming from C. McCoy. I hope to see one out of Williams, Timmons, Payne or Buckner to get this type of compliment from McCoy.
philip payne has terrible hands, he drops so many balls. hell, even his facebook pictures have comments mocking his inability to catch a football. i don’t think he’ll ever contribute anything meaningful.

more like when his own friends are mocking his inability to catch a football… there’s a problem.

+1
While I don’t expect 90+ catches, 1000yds., and double-digit touchdowns from him this season, neither would I be shocked by such numbers, and I do hope for perhaps 80/800/8.

collins has been awesome, and was one of my favorite players to watch last year. primarily because I thought he’d get killed. if anyone had seen the pictures I’d seen of him during last year’s summer workouts, you’d be worried the kid would break in half when he got tackled. his arms (at the bicep) were literally as thick as a water bottle (and I’m not talking about a nalgene). he was emaciated.
here’s to seeing a heavier, more physically ready collins emerge this year as a top flight receiver.

Good Scouting Eyes
I’m glad the Mack and friends could see through Collins to his real potential. When picking a football team, I usually go with the prototypes, not the guys that look like the Kenyan National Barefoot Running Team.

agreed, this is the pic that made me cringe last year at the prospect of him taking the field….

Chemistry is the key
Glad to hear that somebody is stepping up.
Brandon Collins:
The best thing to come out of the UT WR farm since James Kirkendoll.
Whoever it was that caught the last 4th down pass vs tOSU and ground it out to the marker gets the nod from me.
