Speaking of Quan Cosby...
I can't bring him up and not show this, right?
Right.

Like young, crying Sooner fans, that never gets old.
I think the final catch and score against Ohio State may go down as the most important and memorable play that Quan ever made, but I think that block against Lendy Holmes (Oklahoma safeties, slower than Texas defensive ends!) defines who Quan was as a player. Awesome.

Also if you look at the play
Its a good thing Shipley jumped at the end, that was a nasty tackle.
I love that they play it again and again
and it takes a couple of looks for Kirk to realize how insane a block it was. By the end, he’s is he is just in awe of it.

P.S. 45-35
That was greatness
I was sitting in the endzone, and you could see the play developing, Quan looked like missile locked in on his target.

horns tickets
hey guys. I am a long time reader of BON. UT alum from ’99 that is not a member of Texas Exes anymore.
I’m looking to get 2 tickets to Texas v. Wyoming ( @ Wyoming ). Any tips on the easiest way to go about this? I already have someone looking into it from the Wyoming side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Buy the Eyes of Texas.
Hehe, had to plug it. I’ll give you 54B’s recommendations from my copy sitting right next to me: eBay or Craig’s List because I believe it is sold out. Otherwise, try the Wyoming athletic office. But seriously, buy the Eyes of Texas — Chris Brown’s article on the Greg Davis and the Texas offense is worth the price of admission.

the mag has made it to the local walmarts here along with the maple press cowboys magazine
I read the Brown article on texas’ offense, and he mostly gets it right. texas’ two-man concept is geared more towards the strongside, which he didn’t focus on as much, and he ignores the wide receiver screen, which is one of Davis’ bread-and-butter plays.
I thought Chris did a good job diagramming plays, although he did a lot of them from 21 personnel, which y’all don’t run nearly as much as he indicated.
It is a good primer on the texas offense, though. I also think he did a very good job covering Davis and how he is treated by the texas fans.
Awesome block
PB – perfect way to start the weekend.
Everytime I watch thtat play
… I think that we’d have scored a TD if Colt opts to throw it to Collins. That said, I think I prefer how that play played out.
never looked at it that way,
But I think you are correct. However then we might not have gotten to see Cody Johnson smash some ass into the endzone and create a new legend himself.
I even named my son Kolt. no kidding

This play...
I remember that I had to work this day and as soon as I got off, I walked over to the restaurant that was directly next door. This is particular restaurant was divided by two rooms. The main room, and a room that was partitioned off for special meetings and those type things. Well, considering I know the owner, I was able to get in that partitioned room by myself, turn up the plasma and chill out. Let’s just say when this play came up, and Quan made that hit, people outside were like…What the hell…
Quan will definitely be missed BUT I look forward to seeing our younger receivers step up.
Crazy Horns fan in a box…Can’t beat it

BOOM MF.
Haha, greatness.
Great job on the eyes of Texas, btw. I’m loving every minute of the read!
We will miss Quan
Most receivers won’t look for that block. Roy and Limas didn’t.
The guy had the maturity to show up for every game, every catch and even a couple of killer blocks.
