Orange-White game.

That’s Roy Williams carrying the flag, so maybe 2002 or 2003.

That uniform difference was the first thing I noticed, too. Usually having a player roll out with the flag would be something one would expect at a home game, but the whites rule out that. Could’ve been a Veteran’s Day thing, though, or at the RRS. It could also have been in 2001, for the first game following 9/11.

follow-up

Looks like the first game following 9/11 was at Houston on 9/22, and that tunnel doesn’t appear to be different from what I remember seeing at UH. Big Roy would’ve been a sophomore that year, and of course he was already a big gun on the team by that point.

But I hope you all enjoyed your 4th.

This is hands down my fav longhorn picture. 2nd is Vince with all the confetti (only because I’m more patriotic than I am a ‘Horn – if that’s possible).

My favorite is probably Vince from the back as he raises his hand and has the confetti raining down, but I haven’t been able to find a decent still shot of that. I’ve so far only seen it in video.

If that does not work, you can order it via Texas Photo Store. You will have to fill out the special order form and tell them what print you are looking for and what newspaper it was in. They will then find the correct picture and ship it to you. I have ordered from them and the quality is great.
