Best way to get tickets to home games?
Hey Guys,
I have not been back to DKR since I graduated and I'm looking to go back for the UT-CU game (my fiance is a CU grad). What do you think is the best way to get tickets to the game? It looks like we might be able to get tickets through CU's alumni association for $94. But that seems pretty steep considering they're probably not very good tickets. Should I go with stubhub or is there a better way to get tickets?
Thanks in advance.

My gf bought me tickets to the Tech game
They were $98 from texasboxoffice.com, and they’re the absolute nosebleeds. Chances are, the tickets from the visiting team’s box office will be about the same price as the home tickets.
We’re talking about a stadium that has sold out consecutively dozens of times. The hierarchy of ticket holders does not favor the single game buyer.

Knew it!
I knew you had to have some connection to Colorado. You’re wife sounds like a smart woman…

sure RBR, as the date gets closer/when I receive my tickets (they will be lower student section), i can sell them to you or anyone else. I will have an extra ticket for all the Home games except Texas Tech most likely. I wish there was a PM function

My wife works nearly every weekend so I usually go solo anyway.

I think there's two away team sections
One’s up in the nose bleeds, and one is by the home team band. If they’re by the band they’re not bad.
Your other choice is to try to buy some outside of the game.

I meant by the *away* team band.
They’re south end of the stadium, last section, lower deck, east side, if I remember correctly.
The away tickets up in the nose bleeds are in the northeast section, upper deck.

If you're scared of Craigslist or scalping
I’d say your two cheapest bets are eBay or StubHub. I’ve scoured the other sites before, and realistically, those two almost always have the best prices.
TBO just opened up single game ticket sales as well; you still may be able to get some Colorado seats there if you’re not averse to sitting in the upper deck. If you want lower bowl, you’ll need to go to the Internets.

I just bought tickets
for UT-ULM on hornfans swap meet, just as I did for three games last year. There are two sets of four for the CU game listed on the front page as I type this. These Horns offering tickets to other Horns are oftentimes reasonable season ticket holders who can’t make it to the game, many in Dallas or Houston (where I’m picking mine up this morning).

I bought...
thru TicketCity and VividSeats last year. It was easy and there were no issues whatsoever. I paid about 15.00 above the ticketoffice price.

Last Year for the Mizzou game
We bought tickets off the stub hub site, they are very expensive but, if you’re like me I only get to see one Horns game in person a year. Blow the money on some good seats and have an amazing time. I think it is worth the extra cash.

Texas exes have a ticket exchange to buy or sell
http://www.texasexes.com/Tickets.htm
This site has worked for me. People are pretty reasonable on prices.
Also, if you buy at the game just go to where folks are tailgating like by Scholtze’s or in the parking lots and talk to some folks and ask nicely if anyone has extra tickets to sell—-lots of times folks have extra tickets but don’t want to be scalpers. I have never paid more than face value or a little more (like $20) if really good seats.
It is like the stock market……….buy them at least an hour before the game. Whatever you do, don’t wait until like 20 mintues before the game to buy from scalpers……prices go way up………….if you wait until after kick off the prices go way down. Timing is important in the scalping market.
You aren’t allowed to buy/sell on campus property, but they don’t do much to you except ask you to move off the property. So, it is good to look for someone walking to the game with tickets because they are usually excited to get in and just want to get their money back and will cut a true fan a break. I will never sell to a scalper—I will only sell my extra tickets for face value to someone that looks like they are a real fan. Karma is everything. Good luck and have fun. Don’t panic or way overpay at an online sight ticket site…you’ll get tickets.

I bought 4 CU game tickets for $67 each. The tickets are cheaper than the ones listed on stubhub, which I used extensively last year. I have received delivery of the tickets. Everything went smoothly.

Oh yeah, forgot something
These are not nose bleed seats. They are seat back tickets, first four rows of north upper endzone. Great place to watch a game, if your wife-to-be gets bored watching Longhorn touchdown after touchdown, she can look out at the beautiful view of the capitol building, etc.
