Ashes, Ashes, They All Fall Down
I wrote the other day that Ian Harris is still struggling with repeated neck stingers and it turns out the problem is serious. Becoming the fourth tight end lost to injury for the 2009 season, Harris will sit out this season and attempt to finally rehabilitate the nagging problem, putting even more pressure on Greg Smith, Ahmard Howard, and the two freshmen tight ends to perform. Best of luck to Harris as he tries to work back from his injury.

Tomorrow’s rumor—Tray Allen getting reps at TE
What I’m seeing is this:
Texas junior Tray Allen, a highly recruited offensive lineman from South Grand Prairie, has been getting reps at defensive tackle since late last week.

Sure, but I thought I’d add that he actually IS being considered for at least a part-time position change. I guess maybe my joking was entirely too subtle, which I blame on my new job.

If this keeps up
We’re going to be asking random students to walk on the football team as TE, like Leach did with the place kicker position.

I Say...
We just blame this all on GD and move on, he’s used to shouldering blame and it sure makes me feel better
big deal
His injuries have been well documented and he was no better than 3rd string behind Smith and Howard. We had no TE yesterday nothing has really changed
At this point.
I think we should change the name of the position, “BR”, Blocking Receiver. Anything, because being a Tight End at Texas is becoming a curse. Or “LOL”, Little Offensive Lineman. No, that was stupid.

I just wanted to reply to you
because it seemed really weird that no one else had replied to anyone else’s post.
Ian Harris asked me to borrow a pencil everyday last semester in government
just had to throw that out there
so what youre saying is
borrowing a pencil from you is a death wish?

No. He’s saying that playing TE at Texas is.
