I never had high hopes for it once I heard that Sandra Bullock had signed on (nothing against her, but she's not getting paid millions to make a densely-layered "intellectual movie" about abstract advancements in football and the rippling effects they have 20 years later on one lost child and his sometimes reticent adoptive family......she's getting paid to be the nice white lady who helps the poor black kid become more like her), and this trailer pretty much confirms my suspicions. It's a sad day for fans of the book. And if you haven't read the book, I implore you to do so before this schmaltzy rip-off comes out in theaters. you won't be disappointed.
