The Texas Football video introduction for 2009 has surfaced on YouTube. Yes, there are still cartoon cattle stampeding about, but all and all it's a marked improvement over last year's production.

Awe.Some.
I’m glad I got to see it early, b/c i can’t make this game, but that was sweet!
I like how they incorporated the retired jerseys into it, and yes, it looks much better. Hook ’em!
I'll have to see it in person
But color me unimpressed. The music would have been awesome… oh… 20 years ago. Plus, while the other video was considerably dorkier, it felt like it at least built up to something. This one kind of screws around and shows some retired number guys wrecking s***, which is definitely necessary, but that’s all. I think it should be something more intimidating, with a lot of buildup, instead of just some loud ninja turtles intro riffing for 60 seconds.
Everytime I see a Tommy Nobis highlight...
I want to tackle something.
"From the waist down, Earl Campbell has the biggest legs I have ever seen on a running back." -John Madden
WTF....
I want the transforming minotaur-esque half longhorn half man…that was one of my favorite parts…all in all a good vid…but i agree I wish there was some better music…maybe some hiphop/rock to get everybody crunk…but all in all im happy!!!
I liked it alright, but too early to tell for sure
I think there is probably a bit more to it they didn’t show. Defintely have always loved the stampede sound which you couldn’t really hear.
I also didn’t understand the VY TD run to win the RB lost somewhere in the middle and before later plays. That needs to be edited to be at the ending replay clips because that is the most current and makes me do flips, espcially the explosions and confettie…etc.
I also liked the old minotaur-esque Longhorn half men things also and hope they are still to come.
Where Are the Earl and Ricky Statues?
I’m gonna miss Earl & Ricky shooting lasers and transforming the stampeding longhorns into Longhorn Men. One of the best moments in intro video history.
The bad part of that moment
Is that it always reminded me the injustice of Vince Young never winning the Heisman. He should have been one of them, perhaps THE one, who transforms the longhorns.

The Nickleback song just aint cuttin it......
Actually, I thought last years intro was pretty tight, but we Bellmont prolly did the video this way so that the blue hairs sitting on the west side wont get mad
At least put in some Slim Thug, Chamillionaire… something!
I bet we lose at least 1 or 2 recruits a year due to the fact that our team/program isnt “modern” enough
Use the whole screen
I think this video is better than some of the older versions, but we have the biggest freakin’ scoreboard in college football and it looks like the video takes up less than half the screen. Are they saving room for Taco Bell ads?
thought the same thing... looked like a test run...
Im sure the whole screen will be used on gameday.
I also hate the “Eyes of Texas” tune starts the whole thing off. The Taco Bell bell they play is actually more intimidating than the start of the intro video.
Also, I like the Ring of Honor add-ins, but Ricky and Earl won the Heisman, that should be specified a little better (like in previous videos)
The real question is: Will Colt earn a place?
