Last-Minute Injury Report

Earlier this week, we gave you the injury report as of Monday. There are, unfortunately, two more Longhorns along with Huey and Norton who won't be playing in Big Sky country tomorrow. According to the Statesman, Fozzy Whittaker is out with an "unspecified" knee injury and Mason Walters is out with a foot problem. No word on how long either of them will be unavailable, but obviously we wish them a quick recovery.

In addition, none of the three players who are out for academic reasons will make the trip to Wyoming (thanks to GoBR for the info).

This post goes up as Toledo has just scored again to make their lead over Colorado 44-24, and then picked off a CU pass. That combined with this week's injury news out of Norman sort of makes Texas' problems seem "less than."

Mason Walters apparently felt some pain in his foot the day after ULM. They x-rayed and it was negitive but from what I heard, possible stress fracture, but most likely some sort of sprain. Probably just gonna let him take it easy considering the opponent. it didnt sound serious. As for Fozzy, Collins, Scott, and Beasley, we played without them lastweek and didnt have a problem. Concerned about Norton and Huey though.

someone on shaggy bevo reported seeing him in a plaster cast, apparently he’d had a similar injury in highschool…. regular aircast type setup was too loose and his foot wasn’t healing right. they plastered it and 2 weeks later he had it taken off and he was good to go.

take that for what it’s worth.

Academic Ineligible

Iam getting less and less hope these guys are going to be back this season. They must be trying to appeal a decision marking them ineligible. Luckily we have some depth but would love to see this squad at full strength for the season.
