USC has about 4 quarterbacks and none of them are 100%. They're saying that Barkley, the golden child, probabaly won't start against Washington as he's been unable to practice so far this week.

So basically they're down to second / third string guys who both are recovering from injury as well.

Mitch Mustain is recovering from injury?

Aaron Corp is pretty close to 100% and was pretty even in the QB sweepstakes until he got hurt. So I doubt that USC will be in bad shape at the position this weekend.

I am thinking by bad shape he means...

Corp hasn’t practiced at close to full strength until recently and only with the 1st team again this week. I don’t think any of their other guys have been throwing to the 1st teamers much either. If Barkley is indeed their best QB, they had better hope their defense and running game continue to be lights out. For all the Barkley knob slobbing, his stats aren’t impressive and if the run game suffers the defense could be gassed by the end of the game. I am not suggesting Washington will definitely win but hell, if Stanford can do it against a better version of the Trojans, why not Washington?

Washington can get pretty scrappy.

They need to slow down the run to a jog and make some big plays of their own.

Hmm...practically plug in one 5-star QB recruit for another....

I’m sure they’ll be fine.

I dunno

Sanchez left early, now Barkley is down, and in the article the QB practicing, Corps, is five weeks through a six wee recovery from a small knee injury.

I imagine Carrol is playing guys based on performance, and in my mind they’re almost down to their third string at the position.
