Quick Poll - There are some disappointments
Despite my key belief that this has been just a fantastic start to the 2009 campaign, some things definitely have not gone to plan. Here are some quick nominees for the disappointment that scares you the most long term.
1. Oh Malcom - where are you? I thought this guy would be a stud.
2. Colt - is that you? 2009 Colt about half way between 2007 and 2008.
3. Vondrell and Fozzy. Nuff said.
4. OL - 90 starts but were any of them really good?
5. Secondary - meeting your lofty expectations? Seems Chykie has been toasted more this year than last.
6. Academic issues attack depth. Collins, Scott, Beasley missed (in that order)

I just don't get it...
Nothing really changed on our o-line, but somehow we’ve regressed. What gives?
I still voted for Colt as the biggest disappointment so far, since he told the world in his mid-summer ESPN interview that if anything, we could expect him to be more accurate than last season.

LOOK LIKE...
He’s trying too hard to be a heisman qb, instead of just playing. Last year, he looked like he was having fun, so far it looks like he is trying to the heisman with each throw and trying to be perfect.

McCoy
Does anyone still think his high throws are due to low atmospheric pressure?
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.

LOL, nice :)
But seriously, his mental stuff is out of the way… for the most part. What I mean is I guarantee his run game will be epic again. That said…
Is it just me or has he not really overthrown Shipley? Maybe he can envision he’s throwing to Shipley every time and then he’ll hit only hands. You know, like that trick where you envision people naked. But Shipley. Naked. Or not. Whatever helps him :p

Look at his feet.
When he threw to Shipley against Tech it was usually on a quick slant or crossing route that required quick release for timing. The same with the Buckner TD. He had to zip it. The high throws are coming at the mid to deep level. I noticed his feet were out of position and he didn’t step into the throw to Chiles or Malcom that sailed on him.
Maybe the best guy to ask would be Shipley. I bet Shipley is one of the only guys who can tell Colt he’s jacked without drawing fire from the coaches or being eliminated from the progression. They’re roomates you know. :-)
