Tre' Newton
I’m excited to see how Tre’ Newton will progress over the course of the season now that he, for a least one game, is cemented as the starter. He hasn’t recieved a start yet, yet he has more carries, more yards, and is averaging more yards per carry than any other back on the roster. I have complete faith in Tre’ and his ability, my lack of faith is with Greg Davis and the offensive coaching staff. Since Jamaal Charles left our staff has been reluctant to give any of our backs more than 20+ carries. I feel that Tre’ has the speed, versatility, and power to be successful in our offensive scheme. Just a thought guys. Looking forward to the UTEP game. Good luck Tre’. Hook ’Em Horns and OU Sucks!

Visited Florida this weekend.
But it was an unofficial visit and he may take an official visit there later in the fall. He will be in Austin for the game against Colorado.

Timely
I just looked up an old video clip from March about 5 minutes ago on Hicks.

This is an AMP public view, so no pay violation.
Still very hopeful. Big welcome on CU game.
p.s. He already had spell wiht the flu, so let’s hope he’s healthy and all clear for his sake and of course for the trip to Austin.

Flea Flicker
Did you guys happen to catch who that utter failure of a flea flicker in the tech game was designed to go to? Goodwin….i applaud Greg Davis for the attempt, but this lets me know that he definitely has the coaches’ attention and good things are on the horizon.

Goodwin
He was out there for a few other plays with the first time and McCoy tried to get another pass to him in the first half that was overthrown.
Definitely agree with your assessment — it’s good to see the coaches working hard to make sure the fastest, most talented players are on the field.

If this team played in the SEC, you'd be asking the inverse of that question.
Whn you play teams that pass every single down, your overall stats will obviously appear slanted one way.
Plus
I would assume, because I have no proof, you most likely prefer a quarterback to lob passes across the field on his back foot to the sideline for his receiver.

Watch Taylor Potts the rest of this year and how much more he shreds opposing teams by comparison. I would expect 600 yard games. I think Houston is in for a long day.

Absolutely!
Potts got my respect last Saturday. I think I’m going to Robertson Stadium and cheer for em . Any Raider win is good for our SOS, right? ;)
Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.
Dan the Man Buckner
Ok…that was obvious. I have noticed, but not read any comments, that he seems to be a little gimpy toward the end of the 3rd in each of the last two games. I am concerned that scoring celebrations (ie. body bumping) might eventually cause more problems. Anyone care to share thoughts or information?
The Flex position...
This position carries a big physical demand on a receiver. Quan had a few gimpy games last year as well. I think it’s the nature of the role. Catching balls in traffic with hard sharp cuts on routes just wears on a guy. Add to that the demand of taking on either DE’s, LB’s, or in most cases Safeties in the blocking scheme just makes for a long day at the office.
I think we’ll see Dan beef up physically to help, but man aren’t we blessed to have him?
High fives might be a better idea though. :-)

Is this game
being picked up by any TV stations. I am in Missouri but, I am hoping Versus might have it.
Which game, ours?
If ours, we’re on Fox Sports Net nationally, though subject to local pre-emptions, depending on who carries FSN games in your neck of the woods.

Im only visitin the states so
my ignorance prompts me to ask, how do i catch the game on FSN when im in Virginia? Should i just go ahead and go with Justin.tv??
Throw Ya Horns, Mayne
Answering my own question
This game is showing on a station called Comcast Sportnet here for someone like myself in Virginia courtesy of Verizon cable.
Throw Ya Horns, Mayne
But plan ahead
I just moved from that neck of the woods after several years. CSN is notorious for preempting the afternoon national game (both Big XII and Pac 10) in favor of some completely random East Coast game (think something thrilling like Villanova-Hofstra). Additionally, once the Wizards and Caps start playing, one of their games will almost always be shown instead of the college game if there is a conflict in the 7 pm timeslot.
One way to hedge your bets is to see if Verizon offers the Fox College Sports channels as part of some upgraded sports package. I had Comcast, and it had three FCS channels avalable. Not only would the national Fox Sports Net game generally be shown on an FCS channel as well, it was also often the only way to watch the early (12:30 kickoff) regional Big XII game.

Does anybody else think...
…that AT&T should be banned from advertising inside DKR until a human being can actually make a phone call, send a text message and/or browse the internet on their f**king network from inside the stadium? It is irritating as hell that I can’t use my iPhone to check other scores, follow the threads here or text back and forth with friends across the stadium because their friggin’ “3G” network has about 0.01G of service.
Sorry. End of rant.
Really? Does my signature suck?

From a business perspective
Is it worth it to put a ridiculous amount of service around DKR for 6 days a year? Are you really going to switch from your iPhone to a Palm or Blackberry because you don’t get service at the game?
Actually, I will
Because it’s not just in the stadium. Brackenridge losses the signal too.

That is a little different
supplying enough signal and bandwidth for the average daily use in a downtown hospital is probably a smart business decision.
I laugh at the signs that say "text for assistance"
knowing full well that AT&T doesn’t deliver my text messages until I’m about 20 miles away from the stadium
