Honestly, it's starting to feel like a joke. To re-emphasize a point that a lot of sportswriters have been making lately, while the [now bcs-irrelevant] AP poll can be silly at times, the coaches poll almost looks as though it was written to mock the process entirely. Is this some type of conspiracy, or are there actually people out there that feel justification for the following (some quoted from stewart mandel):
Scoreboard: Iowa 21, PSU 10. Coaches poll: Iowa No. 17, PSU No. 13.
Scoreboard: Oregon 42, Cal 3. AP poll: Oregon No. 16, Cal No. 24. Coaches poll: Cal No. 19, Oregon No. 25. Nice work, fellas.
Scoreboard: Houston 45, Oklahoma State 35. Coaches poll: Houston No. 15, Oklahoma State No. 12
Oh and remember the first big upset of the weekend? Ole Miss took quite a tumble... Coaches poll: Mississippi No. 18, South Carolina UNRANKED
As good an argument to bust up the BCS as any, when we have to sit back and accept garbage like this being a determinant in who is allowed to play in the MNC Game.
