Big XII Participating in Yankee Bowl
What could be better than the Big XII's seventh team playing the Big East's fourth team (if they have four bowl eligible teams) in New York in December? Last season that would've been Rutgers vs. Kansas. What a treat!

Didn't Rutgers play Kansas in the Houston bowl one year?
The year Rutgers actually fielded a decent football team.
Yes on Rutgers
It was K-State, three years ago (Knights won pretty easily).
I like a bowl in the northeast and I like the Big 12 being involved. The one thing I can’t stand about the current bowl lineup is the sameness of it; same conferences meeting in the same games year after year, instead of mixing it up as they used to.
I think this officially becomes the second-closest bowl to where I live, here in the Balt-DC region, with the brand-new EagleBank Bowl (Naval Academy vs. ACC) actually at RFK Stadium in DC. It’s 217mi., but it looks like a pretty easy train ride. I might have to make it if, say, KU or Baylor is in the bowl.
Next closest: Meineke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte, approx. 430mi.
Motor City Bowl in Detroit, 520mi.
Music City Bowl in Nashville, 690mi.
