I'll start it off.
The Pundit Roundup isn’t going to run today, unfortunately. Extenuating circumstances involving an unexpected 14 hour drive. It’ll probably post on Wednesday.
Usually
If I have to drive 14 hours, I try to fly. ;-)

That would be why it was unexpected.
A 2.5 hour drive from the beach to the airport in NC turned into a 5 hour debacle (due to rain, traffic and accident rubbernecking), a missed plane, and a conversation with an airline representative that went something like this:
Me: “I’m stuck in traffic and won’t be able to make my flight. Can I reschedule?”
Her: “Sure! That’ll be $700.”
Me: “Fuck you, I’m going to rent another car and drive for 9 MORE hours, getting into Manhattan at 4am and going to work in the morning.”
It was a good day.
You deserve a beer.
Nice cold Shiner.

If I ever could have used a beer it was after that conversation.
Unfortunately, I had 9 hours of driving ahead. Catch-22.
No its fine Shiner's non alchie.

Any chance that ESPN Gameplan will cover this ?
I am a poor DirecTV customer that is feeling very excluded.
I don't think Gameplan picks up games on national TV.
And technically Versus is national TV. Gameplan picks up regional games on the ESPN/ABC family plus games broadcast by other regional networks.
Best bet is a bar or a friend’s house. Or DirecTV and Versus negotiating a deal before Saturday.
Dishnetwork
also lists it showing on NBA tv in HD as well as versus hd and versus.

Does Versus do games in HD?
I can’t see Monroe’s feet move in Standard Def.
Is There Any Word On The Three Players Who Missed The ULM Game?
We sure need those DBs back at least for the Tech game.
Nothing yet.
Hopefully we’ll hear something this week. I’ve got a feeling we may lose them all for at least the semester, personally. I’d love to be wrong, of course.

Who's going to the game?
I just booked my flight into Denver — going to drive up with a buddy, probably very early Saturday morning, since the hotel situation seems a lost cause.
If any BONizens are gonna be at the festivities, holler at me in this thread and tell me your tailgating plans. Hope to meet some of y’all there.
Woooo!
You ain't hurt.

pepsi country
Just wanted to let you all know you can’t buy a Coke in any of the bars or restaurants here in Laramie. Unfortunately this is pepsi country. The LDS church has a hold on the choices here. The one strange thing is you can get a Dr. Pepper, not a Dublin though. If you drive up to the Snowy Range stop at the Bear Tree in Centennial for a beer and a pizza. They are the best in Centennial for food and atmosphere. The Old Corral in Centennial is the best touristy place to take the kids. The Library is working with their distributor to get Shiner Bock in the bar for the weekend.Welcome to town , we hope you enjoy your stay!
If you have an extra couple of days you all should drive up to Yellowstone Park. Right now is the perfect time to see the elk bugling in the Park . They are very visible now, Jackson Hole is also a must see with the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody. The museum has it all from art work to a great Winchester collection and a natural history section.

Why would the LDS Church be pro-Pepsi, anti-Coke?

Rum & Pepsi just doesn't sound right

pepsi
they are not supposed to drink caffeine but for some reason pepsi is ok with the church
No caffeine
All an urban legend, they aren’t supposed to drink caffeine, that’s true, but the Pepsi monopoly is because Pepsi is a major employer in Wyoming, out of Worland, and the University has an exclusive agreement with Pepsi. There are places to get Coke, just like you would get it anywhere else. Like McDonalds.
Dr. Pepper is bottled by Pepsi. Sigh, all this misinformation. We just aren’t that weird I swear.
Don't worry, I'll smuggle the coke in...
…as a powdery substance.

weather
An update on the weather for Saturday. The cold front coming to Laramie will be here on Friday and on Saturday they have upped the chance for rain, but more interesting is that the front will bring MUCH COLDER weather. We now have a chance of snow showers during the night. wear your warm clothes because the wind may pick up considerably, by that I mean real wind-30mph possible or more.
Sounds like potential spring game weather, except for the rain
Meaning Colt could be less than perfect, but our defense could benefit from blown-off-course balls.
San Antonio Versus
I will be in SA this saturday. Does anybody know if Time Warner carries Vs. and what channel it would be on? I couldn’t find it when I looked a couple months ago for Tour de France.
elk
FYI, the elk have started bugling in the mountains so after you get over the sounds of slaughtered longhorns on Saturday you all might head up to the hills and listen to a little elk music. All kidding aside , the mountains should be beautiful this weekend and coming days, the aspens should be starting to change and the view along highway 130 over the top is spectacular. Saratoga , on the west side of the Snowies has a hot springs pool- the free hobo pool for soaking.
Does anyone else think it's freaking awesome....
…that the local bar is going out of it’s way to bring in Shiner? Can you imagine any of our other opponents going to that trouble? Hell, the aggies don’t even bother to put new Longhorn stickers in the bottom of their urinals when we come to town.
I used to think Nebraska fans were tops when it came to class (well, they were until we started beating them every year; not so much any more), but the Wyoming folks are really impressing me. I really wish I could make the game. Haven’t been to big sky country for years.
And fir what it’s worth – Yellowstone is really something, but it ain’t no day trip. Think Houston-to-Amarillo. Better plan a long weekend.
And I don't wanna be an old man anymore; it's been a year or two since I've been out on the floor, shaking booty making sweet love all the night - it's time I got back to the good life...I wanna go back.
DRESS WARM
It can be very windy in Laramie, so bring clothes that can be layered. Check the weather, but it can be a long game if you are cold and in the wind.
So, more of an admin-type question
Can user names be changed? I didn’t put much thought into mine when I signed up a while back. Could an admin take pity on me?
Send an email
They can change it for you.

This may have been covered...so I apologize, but...
I’m in Atlanta and have Directv (so, no Versus Network)…can the game be found online anywhere? Thanks, in advance.

I feel you. I was looking for a stream as well but I found somewhere to watch it. I already searched justin.tv previously, its not on there. I did find a stream though. The picture is only clear when its in a small window, but for many its better than nothing. go to myp2p.eu and click on the ut vs wyoming game. You need to install stream torrent or tvants (i installed earlier, no viruses) , find it with a quick google, first link i believe.

Faked punt?
I haven’t seen anything on it on the board, so I’ll pose the question here:
Does anyone have insight into the Justin Tucker faked punt? It appears he tried to fake it himself. Are they encouraged to do this if they believe there is opportunity? Did he get a stern talking to afterwards?
Talked a little bit about it in the comments of the post-game react.
It was not called. Tucker had an option to tuck it and run if it was wide open and a first down was absolutely assured. He tucked it an ran when there obviously was not room to do so. No word on the stern talking to, but I’m sure there was one.
