Colt McCoy was ready for 'Bama. He was going to lite their defense up.

Colt told his Dad after the injury in the 2nd quarter,

"I had them, I knew what they were going to do before they did it." -Colt McCoy

He put his heart and soul into the game. The injury took that from him, Alabama became victorious because of it.

I will be a fan of Colt McCoy for the rest of my life. Which ever team drafts him for the NFL, I will become a fan of and follow his career wherever he goes.

Colt, you, and pretty much every other Texas fan (myself included), believes with all their heart that we would have won if not for the injury.

However, it’s important to remember that most Alabama fans feel just as confident that they still would have emerged victorious with Colt in the game.

Colt sure did put his heart and soul into this game, but his injury didn’t take a victory away from him, it took away his opportunity to play for one. I think that’s an important distinction to make.

Alabama may or may not have been victorious because of the injury. No one will ever know. We will never know if we would have been able to win with Colt. Bama will never know if they would have been able to beat us with Colt. It is what it is…

Well, you gotta have confidence. I won't begrudge him for that.

As far as the “we knew what they were doing before they did it”… eh. I wouldn’t read too much into that. I reviewed the first drive, and the only big play was because we had a guy take a bad angle. It wasn’t because you caught us with our pants down. The no huddle pass on second down did catch us off guard, but only went for 4 yards.

I don’t believe he would have “lit them up”. Certainly not just because of that statement. Best of luck to him in the NFL though. Hopefully we’ll see McCoy and McClain lined up against each other some day soon.

What you're seeing is team spirit. It's like the Holy Spirit, but more powerful.
