Texas vs. Alabama - Round 2 To bad Texas can't schedule a scrimmage in a few weeks for round 2 (after McCoy is 100%). But how would a non-conference game pitting Texas and Alabama sound?Would other Texas fans be interested in such a game? Would prefer it not to be a 1st game of the year conference so Texas can have a game or two under their belt. I've always seen non-conference games as tune up for conference. That's why good teams usually opt for weaker opponents since there are no scrimmage games before the season. An Alabama and Texas matchup wouldn't be able to be put on the schedule for atleat 2-3 years in my opinion.
