Here's an interesting article from the Birmingham News which tries to compare the BCS championship teams, complete with stats and analysis. This is of course a futile exercise in conjecture, but fun nonetheless.

I think the 98 Tennessee and 06 Florida squads actually deserve to be higher while the 03 LSU team needs to be lower.
This list ranks Alabama at 5th and Texas as 3rd. You guys did have the highest average margin of victory, an amazing 35.3.
