Besides Cosby, Brian Orakpo made
The Gridiron Palace and Sporting News teams (one as a LB, one as a DE), and Roy Miller is at tackle on THP unit. Congrats all three!
A little off subject here because it sounds like your talking about rookies.
I just looked up Jamaal Charles’s stats with the Chiefs, he rushed for 1,120 yds on 190 attempts this year. But if you look a little closer he only had 29 rushing attempts on his first 8 games of the season, if you look a little closer his break out games are when he rushes for 20+ attempts! Can you imagine how many yards he would of racked up if he was the starting runnning back from game 1! Im guessing he would of had roughly around 1,800+ yards!!!! Benson on the other hand had 1,251 yards on 301 attempts. Man I always thought Benson was better than Charles
It doesn't mean that he isn't
They’re just different types of running backs, and they play for different teams. Plus, as I posted here on BON, Charles rushed for 259 of those yards in the final game of the season.

I love JC and he had a great season, but
you can’t say for sure, he would’ve kept up that production all year. 300+ carries takes its toll late in the year.
3/19/2009 & 12/15/2009 - Games Where Dogus Balbay Made a Three-Pointer. Never Forget.
What I don't get...
I mean, We obviously recruited Cedric and Jamaal. Why haven’t we been able to do that since? I’m not sure Chris Whaley can be the savior of the RB’s or for that matter Tre Newton. Considering I haven’t seen Chris yet, I can’t speculate, but Tre, while having good vision and great blocking skills is not Cedric Benson or Jamaal Charles.
Just wondering!?
Garrett Gilbert is My hero!
It may not be entirely due to personnel
It could be scheme, too. Or, as seems to be the majority opinion, an issue where the personnel and scheme do not necessarily match on the line and at RB.
I also think Rucker’s a pretty good RB coach, and that current coaching at the position is somewhat lacking. Major has his talents, but I don’t think that’s one of them.

I was gonna say...
I guess it’s possible for Major not to have that eye for that kind of Talent.
Garrett Gilbert is My hero!
Eye?
I don’t know that he’s really the guy picking the RB recruits. I’m more concerned with the actual coaching.
