2010 BCS National Championship score predictions
I'm so ready for this game.
This is the game Mack Brown wants more than anything right now. He will join the elite of the elite with this win. This game is the game Will Muschamp was hired for and kept for. 2008 was an awesome season and we should've been playing for the title, but before that season, Mack Brown would've told you we were one year away from playing in the title game. (Likewise, Saban thinks his team is one year away). Here we are playing for the 2010 BCS National Championship. This is the game that Colt McCoy came back for. We were hosed out of the game last year so winning the game this year will only prove everything right. This game can launch the claims that Texas is the program of the decade.
It's Alabama vs. Texas. Two traditional powerhouses of college football. It's mentor vs. student. It's Brown vs. Saban. It's McCoy vs. McElroy...Kindle vs. McClain...Arenas vs. Thomas..Cody vs. Houston...Shipley vs. Jones...Royal vs. Bryant.
Passing Offense: Advantage Texas
Rushing Offense: Advantage Bama
Rushing Defense: Even
Passing Defense: Even
Special Teams: Texas
Coaching: Even
It's going to come down to special teams and how effective each defense can stop the other team's advantage on offense. But you already knew that.
It's time to throw out the statistics, and just settle it on the field.
Anyways, it's score prediction time: Texas 27 Alabama 21.

No freakin' idea
This game is so even that it’s nearly impossible to predict what will actually happen.
Random shot in the dark prediction: Texas – 20 Tide – 13
Prediction Score: Texas 27, Alamaba 17
I am actually pretty sure bama does not score as much on us as they did florida…I am not so sure about our offense and the score, but I can dream!! I believed anything was possible with VY, but a lot more anxious about the more mere mortal Colt.
Hooking em to a Another National Championship.
Texas 27 - Alabama 23
In the Auburn game, the Tigers played one of their best games on the season, and the Tide played one of their worst.
In the Nebraska game, the Cornhuskers played one of their best games of the season, and the Longhorns played one of their worst.
I think it just goes to show that even the best teams have games where they’re “on” or “off” their game. UT and Alabama are so close in terms of team quality that predictions are difficult to make. If UT and Alabama are both on or both off, then this game is completely unpredictable. If one is on and the other off, obviously it goes the way of the on team.

one thing is for sure
if they want to play a high scoring game, theres an app for that. If they want to play a low scoring game, theres an app for that. We are gonna be in a comfortable situation no matter what happens

Mack Goes 2-0 vs Saban
Divine Bovine 23 Fish Kill 10
Prediction: Colt gets to use the "we got no respect" card in the post-game interview
After the win, of course. Then I get to listen to ESPN’s “experts” eat crow all night long and try to backtrack from their “Alabama will roll over Texas” statements they’ve been making all month long. It’ll be glorious.
In-VINCE-able.
Nearly 80 points, really?
You think there would be such massive defensive breakdown? You know many thought that the A&M Game would be close and low scoring.. You never know…
It was a reference to the last time we played in this game and situation. nt

If the game goes according to the script
I think UT 24 BAMA 17….
But in the back of my head I know that these games can get out of hand quickly with a couple of broken plays…I know we can make those plays, BUT I also know we are capable of giving them up…
That's what I have, too.
Texas 24-17. Where some of those Bama points will not come from an offensive drive.
All about the Defense
Texas 45 – 3 and Muschamp is pissed that we allowed the FG! The talking heads eat crow and then retroactively award us last years MNC, as well…
TEXAS 21 Alabama 13
Texas scores three touchdowns and Alabama settles for two field goals
Definitely a defensive contest...
I think Bama will scare us early with a TD, then the D settles in an gives up no more than 6 pts. off of FG’s. (Read: OU game all over again).
Offensively, I think Texas struggles to score, manages a couple of FG’s, and sneaks in a TD before the half.
In the 4th, a major KO return (or punt return) will set up Texas to get a first down and allow Hunter Lawrence to boot a 40+ yarder to put Texas up by 3, and the defense will make McElroy squeam in the pocket trying to make a comeback against this team. A game-clinching INT (ironically, by Blake Gideon) will seal it with <2 mins. to play.
My guess? Horns 16, Alabama 13.

Bama gets a safety on an inexplicable reach block run play from our 1.

Texas 19 - Alabama 2
I don’t want to share the pot.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
SEC is overrated this year... their bowl record sits at 5-4, and
could very easily be 3-6. Arkansas and Auburn escaped, while in the Tigers case, gave up 650+ yards in the process. Its really hard to put too much stock into Alabama’s statistics across the board. For example, Bama leads the nation in pass defense efficiency but have surrendered something like 30 pass plays of 20 yards or more. Texas, IMO, has more playmakers in all three phases of the game…..
TEXAS 27, BAMA 13…..
I was thinking about starting this thread earlier today
My prediction, Texas is down 14-3 at the half, but comes back to win it in an explosive second half as Alabama’s offense stalls. Texas – 20, Alabama – 17.
Its a coin toss... UT 24 - Bama 13
If the D has plays like they have all year I dont think Ingram has a chance. That leaves MCElroy and his recievers which Im sure he’ll hit some open zones and have decent pass yardage but I dont know what kind of runner he is. I dont think he’s a Jerrod J . who is the only one who lit our D up.He had a VY type of game that night. So I think Bama will be in the 13+/- range.
I think our O line is the key to our sucess, will they give Colt enough time to find the stable of thoroughbred recievers he has to choose from. Regardless of how many hits Colt takes he still manages to move the ball and this is where I cant get a good feel of the score. Im thinking in the low 20pt range. I hope its more but I think its enough to win the game.
Bama 34 Texas 13
It’s not going to be close. Colt won’t be doing a lot of sliding for first downs on third and long tomorrow night. Shipley will be covered and Colt will have nowhere to run. There will be a lot of passes thrown out of bounds. Bama is focused and will not be denied. Colt better be tough to make it through this one. Bama will own the fourth quarter. No team has the conditioning lo last as long as they do. They usually possess the ball two to one against passiis ng teams. Texas D better have depth reserved for the fourth. I saw a comment saying SEC overrated. At least they have 10 teams of twelve going to bowl games. That 5-4 will be 6-4 after tomorrow.
Is this a dream or prediction?
Alabama is soooooo scary…. it took two blocked kicks to passed Tenn and they barely won against Auburn. I guess Ingram will have another dominating15 for 30yds. Im glad bama is focused cause I’m sure the horns are’nt … Colt accidently became the winningest QB in history.
Its going to be a lot tighter than you think. As for the SEC who cares at this point, all that matters is who owns the crystal at the end of the night…which will be those in burnt orange!!!
It's a prognostication
You said a coin toss, 24-13 is not a coin toss. Only one team has scored 24 points on Bama all year. Bama is going to score 24 points. We’ll see tomorrow night if orange will get burnt.
Wow . . .
. . . only one team has scored more than 24 on us too! We have so much in common.

Yeah 39 points
A&M, Georgia put it on them . Nobody including Texas will put 39 on Bama.
useless predictions
13-11
bama flounders in the red zone. and gets one two point conversion
colt throws 2 interceptions
hunter lawrence for the long distance clutch kick
Since 52-10 and 41-38 are taken . . .
. . . let me take another score to give Tide fans with long memories nightmares:
Texas 21-17. And not even the invention of instant replay will save you this time.
I didn't write out a script like
utlonghorn24 above, but I have the same final score in my Pick ’em entry.
16-13 Horns.
Alabama 34 - Texas 14 (BURNT ORANGE NATION EATS HUMBLE PIE TONIGHT!!!)
Bama will crush Texas tonight and the game won’t be close. Colt McCoy will be on his back most of the evening courtesy of Alabama NG Terrance Cody. And Bama RB and HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER, MARK INGRAM, will STOMP THE GUTS OUT OF THE LONGHORNS ALL NIGHT LONG. LMAO. I hate Texas almost as much as I hate their bloated coach, Mack Brown, and their hidious burnt orange school colors and I am so glad they went undeated in a super weak conference and foot ball schedule only to get under the national spotlight to be humilitated by a superior football team. Eat dirt, Mack Brown—your team sure will tonight. ROLL TIDE!!!!
How kind of you to come here and share that
I hope your therapy is eventually successful

I hopeyou like leftovers!!!
Thats what you’ll be eating tommorow…. If you have the nerve to show back up. To insult MB for no apparent reason is ridiculous, the guy is a class act unlike satan er … saban. I dont think you represent the majority of Bama fans though, but heres a little food for thought, Bama, who over the last several years have changed coaches like most people change underware….. in case you didnt know that you were supposed to change them, with the exception of Shula have hired some of the biggest slime balls in football and has found another in saban. When he leaves in a couple of years like he always does, dont come crying
After tonight you will understand why McElroy was heartbroken not getting to come to Texas. And what gives with the pachyderm??? Look it up…
HOOK’EM !!!!!!!!!
UT 23, Alabama 20 in OT
Anemic offensive performances all night. ‘Bama can’t score in the red zone in OT, settles for FG. Colt to Ship for winning TD on their OT possession.
If the world was a school, we'd be homecoming king...
13-10 horns
“that aint a prediction, thats what its gonna be!!!”
“be careful down there swanny”
"We'll be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!"
23-17 Texas...
Hunter’s leg will be sore tomorrow! Of course so will McElroy and Ingram!
Hook ’em!
