Mack Brown resurrected the UT football program from the dead. UTgrad'08 provided a great summary of Mack's tremendous success in a reply to "I'm Desparate, Mack." If I wasn't such a DA and knew how to link here to his/her reply, I would do so. If you measure the quality of coaching by success, Mack is one of the two greatest football coaches in the history of The University. I hope to see more great success during Mack's tenure. Instead of looking to the future, however, let's look to the past for a moment because "Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes." The program stunk before Mack came along. How did it get there? I am not suggesting any parallels, but I'm truly curious about what went wrong and hope it doesn't ever happen again.
