TV Coverage for Texas - Iowa St
Well, the 'horns game is not on national TV this weekend. The good news is that it will be on Fox Sports Net, which is a collection of regional stations. Most everybody gets at least their regional FSN channel on their cable system and on Dish and DirecTV. You can also buy a DirecTV package to get them all.
Almost all of the regional FSN stations will cover the Texas/Iowa St game this weekend. The ones that WILL carry it are: (number is DirecTV channel)
635 MSG+
642 CSN Mid-Atlantic
646 FS South
652 RSNa (where ?)
654 FS Florida
659 FSN Pittsburgh
663 FS Detroit
665 CSN Chicago
668 FS North (MN, WI, IA, ND, SD)
671 FS Midwest
676 FSSW (TX, OK, LA, AR, NM)
678 FS Houston
683 FSN Rocky Mountains
686 FS Arizona
687 FS Northwest (WA, OR, ID, MT, AK)
692 FS West So-Cal, NV, HI)
if you live in Ohio, these two stations will cover the 'Big XII game TBA':
660 FS Ohio
661 FS Cincinatti
If you don't know which is your local FSN region, use the Regional Lookup Tool: Regional Lookup
Also - if you have DirecTV but the game is not carried in your local FSN region you can buy the DirecTV Sports Package for $13/month and get all of the FSN channels. You can do this online and cancel (by phone) a month later...that's actually a pretty good deal to get the game.
And: if you still want to watch ABC/ESPN on Saturday, here is their regional map:

This is extremely helpful.
Thanks.

thanks
however, those with dish network are SOL….they are going through contract negotiations still i believe
Yes and no
Dish gave out the non directly owned fox stations as well as Comcast to those who lost thier fox channels. So the FSN ones that were franchised and not owned by newcorp are still there. Like FSN pitt
Interesting so some of the regional stations will be covering the game under Dish Network?

I'm shocked and pleased that it's going to be on here in Maryland
This after having to watch Texas-UCLA and Texas-Oklahoma on ESPN3.
If Texas wins Saturday, I’m going to conclude that Texas must be on TV in the mid-Atlantic in order to win.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

California?
Damn..anyone know if they will be showing the game in So. Cal on any channels?
Every weekend...like clockwork...out west.
Whether CA or HI, they love to show the Horns.
Hey, the system is not perfect. But, it's better than the one we had. Um, really? Joe Paterno led 4 undefeated teams under the old system that were not National Champions. With this "better" system, we've only had to endure a BCS controversy OR an inconclusive end to the following seasons: 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.
LA Area Viewing
I have Time Warner, and the game is slated to air on Channel 463 (FSWHD) at 9am.
Also, according to the guide description, Jamaal Charles is our biggest weapon.
Come back, Jamaal, NECESSARY ROUGHNESS style!

Yep. We are screwed.
I have the Multisports package which includes all the RSNs but Dish has been blacking out the games when you try watching the game on one of the RSNs that wasn’t pulled from Dish. Basically, if your local RSN was dropped from Dish, you’ll be out of luck even with the multi sports package.

Yeah... thanks Dish.
They did not even have the guts to tell me that on the phone with them on Wednesday, they kept telling me it was on on channel 444 in Houston, but its showing blacked out in my guide.
Play like you mean it...
Dish Network DFW
I don’t have any of the 414-429 channels. I do see CSNBA on channel 9665, but it says it is blacked out at 11:00a.m.
Help!!!
Good luck y'all
Justin TV is no longer reliable. Had to pay for internet link to watch the Rangers beat down the millionaires from the Bronx.
As for tomorrow? I’m riding my bike to DKR. Hook ’Em.
Tailgating
Barking Carnival has an unofficial tailgating spot at 18th and San Jac:

Dish yanked FSN ...
News Corp wanted a raise and DISH said too much and pulled the plug. To DISH’s credit here in Austin we get a feed of the game over one of the Alternate sport HD channels used for PPV.
I'd have to see that to believe it....
In Oklahoma they still blacked out the local OU game. So, based on what has happened since this dispute with fox started, I would be surprised if you get to see the game on Dish.
Your right
went to the channels that said it had the that weren’t Fox and they were blacked out.
You know we all could be pissed about Dish or News Corp but we know there going to treat us like shit and try to ding us for every penny they can and not care much about their customers.
We should be mad at the BIg 12 for making the deal with News Corp for the rights. The Big 12 needs a built in guarantee that games will get broadcast and the Greedheads who buy the rights can’t hold the games hostage. I thought the BIg 12 was better at this business than they are.
