Time for a shake up?
I know Gilbert isn't getting any help from his receivers and backs, but how many more chances is he going to get before Case McCoy gets a shot? It's time for Greg Davis to go. Let's see what Applewhite can do as offensive coordinator. I don't think you can call this loss or any more losses an upset anymore, it's how the season is going. Gilbert's light hasn't came on yet and what he does well isn't being utilized enough.

When Kirkendoll and everyone else can't catch a dang ball
Gilbert is the last one I’m pointing at. It’s easy to make Gilbert the scapegoat, but you have to realize that when you lose 30-22, something is still wrong with the defense. We have issues on EVERY side of the ball (offense, defense, special teams). It’s HIGHLY unlikely that Lil’ McCoy can compensate for our lack of discipline in every aspect of the game.

The Offense
The offense has to be the main cog, Long sustained drives that score TD’s will help the defense out a lot.
i hear this talk all over and its wrong IMO
changing stuff with you eyes closed aint gonna do jack…
yes change stuff, but in the right way. bench started who suck, even if you know this will mean a less talented person will have to start the next game, fire coaches who are not inspiring the team and getting the best of their players…
changing GG talk is hog wash. GG has had some bad games, but today he did well and we still stunk. you thought if was all him, well today conclusively proves he, if anything, is the better of the lot. he has shown the ability to improve. taking him out would be a bad signal to him that hes not being rewarded for doing the stuff right to fix his game…
i was skeptical abt GG, but today he showed progress and he should not be benched for next game. yes, if he sucks later, he can be benched.
now you say hes not being utilized well, ok. then what makes you think case will be utilized any better, esp since case is just not as talented as GG (IMO). im sorry, this wont do jack, just like today GG playing decent didnt do jack
right now, we need firings, demotions, and starters to be punished by having their ass kiss the bench throughout a game..
mack isnt doing any of these things and thats why nothing is getting better!

GG
Gilbert is terrible at throwing the ball. He had some good throws yesterday, but he had several bad throws to kill drives and momentum.

He also had two TD's dropped, a tipped INT and no running game
other than the yards he gained himself on the ground. McCoy missed throws too but GG doesn’t have a Shipley or Cosby or Thomas or…anybody really. Can you name anybody on offense who’s done one thing to any pressure off him? I fault our OC for placing too much pressure on the QB for the let’s see, fourth or fifth year in a row.
