Force out Brown to keep Muschamp?
Daily Oklahoman reporter Berry Tramel reports hearing from a "source" in Dallas that if Georgia came calling Texas may "force" Mack to retire just to retain Muschamp. Pure silliness if you ask me.

That is just nuts..No way that’s happening. This source is probably one of the few people(like a few on this board) that want Brown out just because of our 2 game losing streak.
Ridiculous.
yep, purely ridiculous...
…dont worry about what these people say dude, they are only here because we were winning and this allowed them to cheer for the winner and feel good about something.
Losing 2 games happens, Mack said at the start that this could either be a good year or just a bad one, depending on how the team gels and performs.
Mack has turned the program from really terrible conditions, he has brought the HS coaches to his doorstep after charming them, and he has put together the boosters to support the team as a unit rather than each using their money to get one thing or another. All the toxicity in the program has been taken out by Mack and he should be allowed to stay here. Hes still not old, and has not had a bad run recently.
I would say it might be time to move on if we have a couple, maybe three bad yrs…right now, no question mack stays, even over mushcamp who i love…

Of course it's "silliness" "just nuts"
Push out the best head coach we’ve had in 35 years for somebody who’s never been a head coach?
Not going to happen. Don't want it to happen.

Muschamp's a beast
But the hype surrounding him needs to be tempered a bit. He’s human, and subject to human limitations. Garrett Gilbert was endlessly hyped on this board, and many said things like that he’d make us forget about Colt this season. Through a combination of his own mistakes and those of players and coaches around him, we haven’t forgotten Colt. In the same vein, one shouldn’t be too eager to give Muschamp the chance to make us forget about Mack. Gilbert could eventually rule the college football record books, and Muschamp could rule the college football landscape, but it bears repeating: be careful what you wish for.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.
