A theory to these losses...

I have a theory. I think this is just the year where UT plays "Mr. Nice Guy" in the conference. First, we rescued a bunch of these teams from getting sucked into an irrelevant conference in the off-season by keeping the Big XII intact. Then, we decided to bow down and hand out "program defining" wins to all these schools like it's Halloween candy, just to give them a nice confidence booster going into the future, and making the conference look a lot better than it really is. This explains why we stepped up and beat down Nebraska. They're packing their bags and leaving, so we wanted to give them a nice little parting shot. "But... why did we beat Tech?" Trust me, if you recall the game, we TRIED to lose that game in every way imaginable, but Tech pretty much wouldn't allow us. They replaced Leach with Tuberville. Enough said there. "What good was losing to UCLA then?" Oh, that was unintentional. UCLA just owns us at home in football, and it was sweet poetic justice for Norm Chow that his running game completely destroyed us, given the 4th and 1 run play that didn't work in the 2006 MNC. NOTE: I don't really believe any of this. We just suck at football.
