The Company We Keep
Saw a post on a FAU fan site that said Texas is in the middle of the pack among BCS conference schools. There are 65 teams in BCS conferences. So I checked out the records to see if that was the case. Sadly it isn't.
Only six teams from BCS conferences have lost more games than UT this year:
Minnesota, Washington St: 2-9
Vanderbilt, Wake Forest: 2-8
Kansas, Duke: 3-7
Only eight teams from BCS conferences have worse records than UT this year:
Above plus Cincinnati, Washington: 3-6
Only fifteen teams from BCS conferences have same or worse records than UT this year:
Above plus Colorado, Arizona St, Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Purdue, Indiana: 4-6
To top that off, only two teams from BCS conferences have a longer current losing streak than UT's 4:
Vanderbilt: 5, Wake Forest: 8
The 2010 Texas Longhorns are flat out bad. Not average, not even close. Bad. The company we're keeping says it all. Can we just flash forward to 2011 yet?
I hope Rick Barnes has his kids back from last year's epic collapse, not only to have a major sport to be happy about, but to lead the way back from the brink as an example for the gridiron guys. 'Til Gabriel Blows His Horn! }-

Indiana? Vanderbilt? Have you no compassion?
Next you’re going to come over and tell my kid that Santa doesn’t exist.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus,
and since you’ve been so good by sticking with the Horns this season, he’s bringing you the most wonderful of presents at Christmas: a new OC!

A new OC
has been on my Christmas list for 12 years. I’ve added to that list a burnt orange AED just in case the first item doesn’t happen.
On my signal,,,Unleash Hell,,,and Fire Greg Davis,,please?
You must have been very bad for 12 years, OMS.
Hopefully for all of us you’ve turned it around.

Dad always said
“If you can’t be good, be good at it”. I shouldn’t have listened. Too old to be anything BUT good these days. Hopefully this will be the year.
On my signal,,,Unleash Hell,,,and Fire Greg Davis,,please?
Thank you, RMHorn
A number of people, often in the context of defending MB, have asserted that UT fans are “spoiled,” that this is nothing but a reflection of injuries or losses to the NFL, an inexperienced QB, or poor play-calling. Your stats reflect an across-the-board melt-down of the program, not seen here in many years.

And their offense is like, uh, 500-times better than ours LOL
I shit you not. It’s too bad they can’t play Defense…
That was his power. The greatest trick Greg Davis ever pulled was convincing Mack Brown that he was invaluable. And like that, poof. He's been here for 12 years.

Kansas? Duke?
If this were basketball, we would be in great company.
