Wilcox came to Knoxville from Boise State (Broncos OC Bryan Harsin is also a possible Longhorns target) after turning down the same job at Texas A&M. There is some chatter on Tennessee message boards that he does not get along with DL coach Chuck Smith and that he told coach Derek Dooley that one of them would have to go.
