So I'm sitting at home, minding my own business today when the doorbell rings.  I step outside to see a UPS guy waving, as he's walking away in the snow, and I look down to see that Santa has sent me another gift.  Noting the address, I already have a good idea which of his elves has been hard at work and "can't wait" to open it.  Well, it's a really nice (Douglas Lyon - silk) burnt orange shirt with monochromatic longhorns superimposed throughout.  The accompanying note?  "Will (Muschamp) was going through his closet, said he wouldn't need this anymore and that we should give it to you.  Then he muttered something like "He still believes!" or something like that.   - Merry Christmas"

I should point out that this "gift" came from some friends of mine...a husband and wife, University of Michigan/Notre Dame couple...and, in retrospect, I probably started it last year when I sent them a Christmas care package.  The package consisted of Longhorn blankets, caps, shirts, mugs, glassware, Christmas ornaments, etc.   You know it's not often that neither UM nor ND are in a bowl game and, if I can remember this far back, I think Texas was playing for the MNC.  Through my gift, I was merely inviting them to adopt the Longhorns as their team for the bowl game and giving them all the tools they would need to immerse themselves in the spirit of the season.  Hey, I had faithfully cheered in their stadiums for their teams over the past couple of years, occasionally wearing their team gear (topped with a Longhorn hat, of course) and otherwise showed my support for their teams over these tough years.  I thought they could use some cheering up!  In fact this year, I was half expecting to get pictures of the family in front of a tree adorned with Longhorn ornaments.  And then I get the shirt...

Anyone else getting Christmas reminders of the way our season went?
