Merry Christmas, Longhorns
Just as Jewish doctors work Christmas to give their colleagues a break, we're taking time out of our day of eating Chinese food and watching movies to wish all of our fellow BONers a very, very Merry Christmas.

Thanks much, 40AS
Taking time from chores before the wild side of the family arrives and we get into wrapping paper tornado mode.
Best to all on the BON Network of Sports Fanatics.
Good Timing
I’m only spending 10 or minutes even near a monitory today but just caught your post. Merry Christmas to all.
I heard rumblings that Santa was sneaking around Belmont last night but of course no confirmed reports. Rumor is he might be a week or two late.

Chinese food sounds good right now
My one cool UT-themed gift: a calendar featuring vintage UT program covers from the 1930s through the 1960s. My favorite is a program cover from a 1943 game with Southwestern(!). Apparently the pages are detachable for easy framing if I chose to do so.
78 colleges seem to be available with the calendars, if you’re thinking ahead for gifts for college football-minded friends for next Christmas.
Don't click here. I might be promoting myself with frequently-changing photos from my portfolio. Or I might be linking to my favorite photos of Mark Mangino. You never know.
That last sentence isn't clear
The company which publishes these program-cover calendars does so for 78 different colleges.

Nice
I got UT slippers. But I got framed signed photos of Vince, Colt, Mack, Cedric Benson, Jship, and Quan Cosby from the bf for Christmas last year, so I got spoiled.
If that is a veiled criticism about me, I won't hear it and I won't respond to it.
An aside for the DC half of 40AS
I spotted my first SoCal Five Guys yesterday. I’m quite excited.

It just isn’t Christmas unless I watch The Christmas Story.

I hope the Christmas Turkey isn't smiling at 40AS

Bumpass says “Hi”.
Peace to all BONizens everywhere!
The TCU DC is Dick Bumpas.
I could make some tacky, horny frog, hick analogy here, but I’ll let it pass today. It is Christmas.

Little Fockers? Really, DC Half?
Come on. If you’re gonna spend theater money, make it worthwhile

Saw The Kings Speech this evening.
Truly wonderful movie…the audience applauded at the end…pretty rare these days. Felt like I got my dollar’s worth. I have known several people well who stuttered and this reminded me of all the agonies they faced in overcoming their disability, both those I witnessed and those shared. None, however, had the awesome responsibility the future British king faced in the 1934-39 period in pre-war Europe.
This movie is also about coaching at its base level: communication and learning, confrontation and acceptance, and motivation and re-enforcement for long term development (and cure).
There is a enjoyable level of comedic interplay and situation, somewhat dry, of course, in the British style, but hysterical in certain scenes. This should age well, for the story is about a most human problem on multiple levels, situational events we all face at certain points, and has many well-written and designed scenes keyed to critical historical events.
Merry Christmas to all, especially to Bevo, who had to put up with a lot of crap at home that wasn’t his. Hopefully he’ll have a better time of it in 2011 and so will we.
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to one and all...
May each of you enjoy peace and happiness holiday season and in the coming year.
Boise State choked while Auburn enjoyed a comeback for the ages. I'll have another heaping helping of hypocrisy, please.
It's a Wonderful Life
I admit that I got tearry eyed once again.
