Hey guys,husker fan here. Now before you see that first sentence,please hear me out before flipping the post off and moving on lol. Just wanted to give an apology and explanation for this season. What has been said about us husker fans is true,we did go a bit insane,and here's why. At one time,Nebraska was considered a beast in college football,a fair assessment,you think? We were used to seasons that if they didn't consist of a NC game we thought of as failures. Then TO retired. In comes Bill Callahan

Needless to say,the big BC proceeded to methodically crush the spirt of the husker nation over the course of a few seasons. We honestly were a listless bunch under him.

In comes Bo Pelini (i know,the devil,right?)

What we got for Bo was a  slightly psychotic passionate coach who wanted to win.

Nebraska actually needed some of that psycho hunger to win to get our fire back. He gave us that. Yes,he did get carried away,still does in some instances. But he really just wants to bring Nebraska back to what it used to be.

I know,before you say it,he went overboard some,and now pretty much brought some bad blood to apposing teams and fans,yourselves included. For that let me apoligize. You guys are an Elite program. We at the Husker nation are striving to become an Elite program once again,and went overboard this season.

So,i am here with an olive branch just stating that while i'm excited to be going to the Big 10 next year,i am sad to be leaving the Big 12. I'm gonna miss all these teams and fans,even though you have pretty much owned us this last decade. You were the stick we tried to measure our progress against. I hope you guys do well in Big 12 play,and i for one hope somewhere down the road we still get to meet in a Stadium somewhere.

oh,and PS,for chuckles, after it was announced that GD was resigning,there were a few Husker fans that,because of the rather dismal offensive performance against several teams this year,did bring up his name as a replacement...thought you all might get a kick out of that
