DeAndre Daniels To Visit Texas ($)
2011 F DeAndre Daniels, a long-time Texas commit, will be visiting the school once again on December 14th, following a visit to Kentucky this weekend.
One of the top players in the country, Daniels de-committed from Texas this summer, but still has the Longhorns in his top four, along with UCLA, Kansas, and Florida. Daniels has also taken recent visits to Kentucky and Oregon.

Dec 14th is North Florida. I doubt there will be much of an atmosphere. Gotta Sell him Rick!

We need to do everything we can do legally to get Daniels fully onboard once again. I know it’s asking a lot, but Drummers, please show up and be loud, make it look like a basketball game instead of a library. Dance like/with the pom girls during the Wabash Cannonball. If this kid goes to Kansas and comes back here and kicks our ass, I’m going to be wholly annoyed.

YES!
I don't always watch football, but when I do, I prefer Dos Achos. Stay thirsty, my friends.
It really sucks
That he sees all those big-time games then comes to a morgue to see us play North Florida. KU and UK are longshots at best, but it just leaves a bad flavor in the mouth of a recruit to see such a step down in game level.
KU’s a longshot because, well, they were never really in it and UK because they already have three 5* forwards committed including true SF Mike Gilchrist, combo forward Kyle Wiltjer, and uber-talented PF Anthony Davis. No real need for them to grab another hybrid four guy.
It should be between us and Florida and I expect them to get his final visit. If he doesn’t schedule another visit after UT, he’s obviously committing to the good guys and should start at PF (out of position) next year. It’s possible he could start at SF if (as expected) Jordan Hamilton goes pro, but Barnes has tended to lean to three-guard lineups with a hybrid post lately (Damion James/Kevin Durant years) in order to get his most athletic and overall best lineups on the court at the same time.
It’s almost impossible to overstate the importance of getting Daniels. Guy will remind a lot of people of Kevin Durant with his combination of height, shooting ability/unlimited range, and refined skillset. Not to mention skinniness. He’ll also remind a lot of Jordan Hamilton last year with his shot selection. Not implying in ANY way he has the same attitude Hammy came in with, just that the guy likes to get his shots up from all over the court and doesn’t always practice the best shot selection principles. Likewise with Julien Lewis. Just a warning.
