That would be awful. Texas football battles Oklahoma for conference titles, not Ohio State. Texas football beats up on Baylor, not Northwestern. Texas fans grill steaks, not brats.
Texas football doesn’t play in the Rose Bowl. Okay, it does that.

I dont understand the clamor to leave the big 12.
We have more money than god and go to the mnc with a 13-0 season.

It's not like Texas is wishing to leave the conference
I don’t see the harm in listening to pitches from other conferences that want to add a powerhouse school.

I would rather
Texas stay in a conference with Nebraska, A&M and OU. What would Texas do in football, play OU and A&M out of conference. Talk about strengthening your OOC schedule in football. If you thought the Big 12 Schedule was tough enough, try adding a schedule with Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Michigan (if Michigan bounces back). Then if Texas want’s to include rivalry games like OU and A&M. The schedule would be brutal.
Holy crap
Texas would constantly have one of the toughest schedules year in and year out if that happens. It would leave room for maybe one or two cupcakes just so we can get our feet wet.
When journalists at the Tour de France ask me if I am the best sprinter, I answer 'Yes', and that's seen as arrogance, but if they don't ask me, I don't say I'm the best sprinter in the world.
