Rick Barnes starting Brown pays off, leads the team in +/-

Pittman very productive as far as +/- goes in limited minutes, also a direct result of JB starting. Of Dexter’s +25, you can see on the spreadsheet that 23 of these were with Brown on the court.

It was interesting how Barnes handled Lucas and Balbay. Balbay did not play the last 14 minutes of the 1st half, with Lucas playing the majority of these 14. Is Rick trying to acclimate Lucas into the rotation? Or is he just trying to keep Doge fresh?

Wow.

Expected some huge positives, but those are big numbers.

Good stuff gftc – thanks for doing these.

So does this mean Brown is really the answer?

"The best decision I ever made was coming to Texas," James said. "The second-best decision was coming back."

We are going to have to live and die with him.

Just as much as Hamilton was the answer after OSU

By that I mean, lets see if we can do it again before we crown the answer.

I certainly hope this showing was true growth and not just a combination of a good game + bad team (NU).

One thing I noticed that was interesting

Look at every time Pittman goes out of the game. The grouping that comes in right after he leaves the floor puts up a “-” each time, with the exception of the one “0.” I found that intriguing…. I wonder if that would be the case for previous games?

I mean as a general trend....

I’m sure it hasn’t happened EVERY TIME he’s left the court in previous games…..
