Time to forget the opening weekend. The Horns are now 2-2 and take on the 4-0 Stanford Cardinal in what should be a heckuva series. Stanford swept Rice last weekend, a feat that was even more impressive before Rice went and lost to Lamar at home on Wednesday. The Tree can clearly hit and score runs this season, averaging 9.5 runs per game, but they're also giving up a lot of runs as well (5.25 per game compared to just 3 runs allowed per game for the Longhorns). The Horns need a series win here to forget about a poor showing against New Mexico, and hopefully the cavernous UFCUDFF will slow down Stanford's offense.
